There are some lines you just don't cross.

 

Crossing is what the lines are for. If I don't do it, someone else will step up. Of course, one must cross the line responsibly. Actually partaking in whatever the taboo may be is reprehensible (drinking bleach to be rid of a baby, to use the earlier example) and you'd be hard-pressed to find a single person who believed it to be a good or healthy practice, but making a joke about it is harmless and allows us to understand why and how someone would do what they do, and come to terms with it. It's a cathartic release. Of course, it won't "click" for everyone, so some people will get offended, but that simply cannot be helped. I really could have done better (and should have), so I'll take responsibility for that one.

Abortion is never a joking matter-ever.

I beg very much to differ (not just about abortion, but about taboo subjects in general). But then I make light of everything, that's just how I cope. If not for humor and being able to not take things so seriously all the time, I wouldn't have made it out of high school (I say this only a year out of high school).

 

That isn't melodrama or me pitying myself, I've had severe issues with loneliness and depression. Still do, but not quite as bad as it used to be.
