I like the idea that Titanic is related to Inception. At the end of Titanic, Leo sinks into the sea then in the opening of Inception he wakes up on a beach.

I don't doubt that they do, it's the wait that's the worst part.

 

Sometimes waiting isn't only the worst part, but the worst thing to do. A lot of things can be changed by getting active, like deliberately adopting a more positiv attitude. If you wait comfortably in your little bubble of animosity toward the outside world, chances are you will remain there. The world won't bother knocking and asking you out of its own accord.

O Ventus- this is far easier advice to give than to take, but--at writing, you're a beginner. So allow yourself to be one. How are you going to improve unless you allow yourself to continue to write, and the leeway to make mistakes?

And you have an advantage over others--for a beginner, you're already quite creditable. So instead of lamenting the fact that you didn't naturally spring from the womb a world-class writer, celebrate the fact that you are ALREADY able to have others enjoy your writing at the stage of your journey. And no--your writing isn't perfect. But I'm sure even published, world-renowned authors would tell you their writing isn't perfect either.

If writing is important to you--keep doing it.

It's a real catch-22, which is another trigger of mine since my dad was murdered by a man wielding a .22 pistol, so the number 22 is another trigger for me.

I meant wait as in the passage of time. One cannot just press a button and turn into a 30 year old. Not that I know of, anyway.

Then I misunderstood. It's just because you had answered to "awkward insecure age ... Things get easier" and while this might be true (I'm a bit unsure) that's not a good approach. Just don't try to worry so much. You know where you want to go and that's most important. If you keep moving on, things will turn out alright.

Pressing a button to skip 10 years of your life wouldn't be preferable anyway, nor might it even wield the same results.
