Merela, I read your updated fic and I do think it's a bit better. I like that there a little more exposition about Cass and Josie's reasons for being upset.

I'm not exactly an expert though, as I've never taken a creative writing class...I just write (melodramatic) fanfic my myself. Maybe someone else can chime in?

Absolutely. She is a bit too young but apart from that she's the best Cass cosplayer I've seen around. I adore that "armor". I can't wrap my mind around how people can actually use a tool and create something like this with their own hands (then again, I lack any fine motor skills.)

Makes me curious, what is the perspective about Jean-Marie Le Pen that differs from the one I get from TV and newspapers? Is he in real life a nice, open-minded anti-racist?

My advice concerning the Bi Cass Mod, just don't download or support it. Just as there are those weird 'aryan mods' for Isablea and Vivienne etc., there will be these sexual orientation mods, they might be in bad taste but only certain people are going to download them. One needs not pay any attention to it, as long as they are not encroaching on your own game, or Bioware's artistic process. Let these few people have their dubious mods, and just ignore them.

You know, if I was a weaponsmith (is that the right title) this would likely be all I would do in my free time.

Just build fantasy weapons. No reason, just to keep them around.

But it happened in the past already, both in DAO and ME2. What was so different to cause that chaos?
I'm personally not a fan of Changing anything about a cHaracter, be if gender, race or sexual orientation, but I honestly couldn't care less of what people would do in their own game. It's not canon anyway (Though it was hilarious that some people thought Bioware should've a doubted in the keep what the mod community did).
