Talking about my edge, when Warder's clearly Damascus. Sane people can't have that much edge.
Eh I guess. I can't decide who is the edgiest you or ventus. It's simply adorable, and kwaii. ![]()

There's not a single guy here who I would call kawaii.

Edginess overrated.
Take lightsabres for example. No edge to be found, yet cool beyond measure.

DAO is overrated.
Well it's the best Bioware game since Baldur's Gate 2 so it's got that going for it.
Not sure how much of an accomplishment that is when you think about Bioware's other releases (how mass effect went up its own ******* with ME2 &3) but eh, whatevs ![]()

I've never played Baldur's Gate 2, but DAO is tremendously overrated, having played through most of it again recently. The gameplay is so painfully slow and a chore to get through on anything but the highest difficulty and/or have friendly fire turned on, you can just click on enemies to initiate combat and leave, and by the time you're back the friendly AI will have killed everything (without customizing tactics). I'd know because this is actually how I played, since I'd rather start a fight, then go and do something legitimately productive instead of sit there and watch my party chip away at the enemy's health bars and auto cast, bored out of my skull.
The plot isn't particularly compelling or engaging either. The Blight is more or less just window dressing for the setting. Only in the beginning (up to Ostagar) and at the end (the battle for Denerim) is it actually a factor. The rest of the game is you and your party talking to NPCs and fighting every other kind of non-darkspawn enemy. As per usual for Bioware, the characters and party members are what steal the show. The plot is forgettable and the player is never made to feel as though there's an actual Blight going on outside of cutscenes, but the supporting cast is great.
Combine both of the above with the subpar visuals and audio (minus the voice acting, which is still good and holds up nicely) for a game from 2009, and it's not particularly impressive on a technical level either.
It was better in 2009, and it hasn't aged very well. I'd play it again, but not any time soon and only when wearing my nostalgia goggles.
