Ok, her eyes and eyebrows remind me of Olivia Wilde.
So it wasn't just me lol

This is one of the rare Cassandra fan art pictures I've seen on this thread that I'm not overly fond of. I think, maybe, there was another a ways back, but I can't remember. It doesn't look bad per se, it just isn't blowing me away as much as the others have. I'm not really a fan of the Olivia Wilde eyes/eyebrows, tbh, sorry ![]()
Her lips are too thin, in my opinion. It looks nice, otherwise.
I dunno. That seems to be a frequent problem with fanart of all the characters- the lips are too thin, or wrongly proportioned.
Thats probably the reason why the world is tearing itself apart.
Oh no! We uncovered the true cause of the fade rip!
Cassandra only joins us to cover it up.

Back to Cassandra. Anyway, even if she's stuck with the crappy templar's spec (I never found it interesting in the previous games), I hope we get to learn about some Seeker's techniques, even if we can't see them in action.
I never guessed they'd have anything unique. Always thought of them like Internal Affairs, except for the Chantry. The cops above all the other cops.

That was it. Seriously it's been bugging the hell out of me since I first saw her picture.

Oh, I think that would be cool; I'd like to learn some Seeker stuff. Also, no offence, but considering I've played mainly as a Templar for the last two games, I'd be overjoyed if Cassandra had a Templar specialization
and considering she's probably our first companion in Inquisition, it'd be like a throwback to Alistair being our first permanent companion and a Templar in Origins; I'm a sucker for nostalgia ![]()

While they do Internal Affairs, their job also include hunting dangerous apostates, dealing with external threat to the Chantry and seeking corruption.
In Witch Hunt, when searching the Circle library you can stumble on a book with the following description: The Holy Office of the Seekers: This heavy book is firmly locked with a Chantry seal. Scorch marks suggest someone tried opening this book to no avail. The illusive Seekers guard their secrets well.
Their codex entry in DA2 mention special powers (reading mind, erasing memories) and immunity to blood magic. The entry says it's exaggerated and there is other errors in it (the Chantry did not create the order), but the blood magic immunity is somewhat accurate going by Asunder (a Seeker use the Litany of Adralla).
We got a new codex about Therinfal Redoubt for DAI that talks about Seeker advanced training. They are trained in secluded areas and seems to focus on demons, not guarding mages like Templars.
I'm also wondering if Otto in DAO might have been a Seeker. The guy was blind yet could fight unassisted and was also able to sense evil and impurity (aka corruption).

Otto says he is a Templar.

I'm sure you remember all the 'I don't want my character to believe in the Maker' schtick, even if characters who didn't believe (as opposed to characters who were simply less devoted) would be relatively uncommon in the setting unless they had specific reasons not to.
I don't see anything wrong with crafting a character who opposes the Chantry or doesn't believe in the existence of the Maker. Although Tevinter was the first exalted state, there are a number of magisters in the Imperium who are devotees of the old religion (e.g. Aurelian Titus). Not surpising, really, since the aristocracy was forcibly converted to Andrastianism (c.f. World of Thedas):
Most of the high-ranking clergy, including nearly all of the ruling Altus magisters, refused to give up their Old Gods. Many of the underclass Laetan mages also refused to convert to a god that maligned magic. But the common people of the non-mage Soporati overwhelmingly supported Hessarian, and gleefully participated in casting down their magisters. Bloodshed followed in a violent overthrowing of the magisters in a period known as the Transfiguration. (pg. 123).
Also, the dwarves are pretty irreligious, and the elves certainly have no love for the Chantry. I agree, though, that if you are a human in Ferelden or Orlais, odds are that you are probably a follower of Andraste to some degree.

The Dwarves aren't irreligious. They believe in the Stone, the Ancestors, and the Paragons. And the only elves who wouldn't really be Andrastian are the Dalish.
Just clarifying.

Polytheism isn't exactly irreligious.
If anything, polytheism is way more religious. Believing in lots of gods has to be more religious than just believing in a measly one.

Not really. Deities are not required for religions.
Are you unable to detect jokes?

Not really. One God deserves quite a or of devotion. Back. I believe I One, as imperfect as I am.
Man it's gotta be easier serving one god in one temple than running from one temple to another to get all your prayers in. Although polytheists develop great calves as a result.

When I said that the dwarves are irreligious, I simply meant that they do not subscribe to the beliefs of an organized religion, i.e. Andrastianism.
Of course polytheism is just as valid as monotheism. You are twisting my words, please stop it.
Edit: also, can we please not let this thread devolve into an incoherent religious debate ... you can find enough of that on YouTube.

In most polytheistic religions, you became a priest/priestess for only one of the gods/goddesses. So for example "Priest of Ra", "Priestess of Minerva", etc
See my last response.
Back to jokes someone will for some reason take seriously.
Are Cassandras gate smashing abilities so good they can destroy race gating on romance options?
See my last response.
I know you are teasing. I'm just giving fun facts. ![]()
Also, if you turn all enemies into gates, can she one shot the entirety of the game?
Let's keep religious debate in serious forums. Youtube style debates make me annoyed with atheists and Christians. Sometimes Muslims and pagans too. Though I love my friends of every faith.
But how do you feel about Zoroastrians?
Or more related to the thread, how do you feel about Cassandra?
Zoroastrians have never given me much trouble. I hope they continue on and the Shia Muslims leave them alone. Or at least stick to talking to them.
Cassandra.... My Inquisitor is in love.
