Well, which is it? Straight woman, or short hair? You don't get to have your cake and eat it too, you know.

But I like cakes. :(

Short hair is real popular in Hollywood these days.

Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and even Emma Watson a while back.

Might be a few more I don't know about.

Actually, I always imagined her having a lot of bush there. I don't know why. :P

G.I Jane - 1997.

And well ****, Sigourney Weaver, Aliens - 1986.

But I think your right, Halle Beery didn't do it for any movies.

They were all straight characters though. ;)

Aliens > Alien, tbh

But I'm not sure if Aliens > Predator, that one is tougher.

Agreed, watched it with my gf recently and the acting is so dull. The black guy was the only one with any life. Aliens is definitely a lot better.

I wasn't that entertained with Predator to be honest. But that's just me.

I think my order would go Aliens > Predator ≥ Alien > Predators (2009) > Predator 2 > AVP > Prometheus > AVPR

AVP is better than Prometheus, Prometheus is so incredibly overblown and awful as a pseudo-Alien movie. I haven't seen Alien 3 or REsurrection, but by all accounts I've heard, they're both pretty ****. The director's cut of the original Alien is better due to some additional scenes that show what the xenomorphs do with the crew.

Also, not a movie, but Alien Isolation is an incredible game.

Not related to Alien (but it does have Sigourney Weaver), but Cabin in the Woods is sooooooooo gooooooood.

Some movies just shouldn't become a series.

I enjoyed Predators (2010) a lot more than I thought I would. I don't think it was one of the better movies in either series, but the cast of characters was fun to watch. I liked Nikolai.

It was a bit weird. But he still played a more believable tough guy than I expected him to.

My expectations for that role were pretty low, admittedly. I walked out of the theater giving him more credit for versatility than I did going in. Same with Topher Grace.

Studios should still just not cast Adrian Brody as an action hero. Whether it's Predator or King Kong, Adrian is just too small and doesn't have the presence to be an action star. He isn't Arnold or Jason Statham (which is okay, and he can do action movies, I just don't think he should be the top billing star).

I'm not so sure. Two token "good" team mates (Isabelle and Nikolai the soldiers for country). Two token "evil" team mates

Spoiler

And then Mombasa, Cuchillo, and Hanzo represent criminal organization. I think it was all exceedingly deliberate and trope heavy.

It wasn't that they were "evil", more that they didn't look like worthy prey compared to the others

Heh. That was what I liked about it. :P The fact that Edwin didn't look like worthy prey was the first suspicious thing about him, and Stans had my favorite death scene because of it. I really didn't see it coming.

I totally expected what happened to poor Nikolai.
