Not expecting Aveline at all, I don't see any similarities personality wise between the two. I don't even see Cassandra being awkward like a lot of fanfic and fanart shows. I'm not even sure where that is coming from, she haven't shown an ounce of awkwardness in DotS or DA2.
I guess its because of the strong/agressive/confident attitude. Her beign awkward would be the complete opposite.
I think a lot of people are assuming awkwardness based on her being both a career soldier and having close ties to the Chantry, which can lead to assumptions of either her not having the time or interest to explore romantic or physical relationships due to her commitments or her leading a sheltered life in a romantic and/or sexual sense out of religious reasons.
Well when I think about Cassandra , Aveline and romantism...I still think they're going to be alike.
The kind that both like a "romantic" story in books , but they're not willing to play the helpless princess waiting for some white knight to come along and save the day.
The big difference I think is Cassandra is more idealist (not sure it's the right word to use but wtv) than Aveline when it comes to her overall view of the world.She saw things in black and white ,she is pious...
Aveline was way more no bullshit about this.With the whole yeah the Chant of Light is pretty but I don't care about the Maker ,he isn't there.
Cassandra will also be pro active but I guess she'd tell you stuff like "The Maker was by my side."
I just want to be able to give her a present, a knife holder shaped like a book.
So now we know DG wrote Cassandra and Dorian for DAI. Wonder who else is in his list, probably not an LI.
I really hope Cassandra isn't the awkward type when it comes to the romance path. No copper marigolds and no tripping over her own words. Let us see a strong woman who knows what she wants.
