Sry I havent hear this theory or see it as a theory in your post i apologize if my reply was dickish.

Not at all, these are just opinions, and your reply didn't sound dickish at all, at least to me. Until the game is released, we can only guess. That's where the fun is, isn't it? :)

That's why I say that the theory is based on the companions displaying the specializations. Leliana may be a bard, but the specialization doesn't seem to be taught in Inquisition. I may be wrong, though.

Leliana is also acting like an assassin for the Divine, not just a bard. Also, beside Cole none of the rogues fit the assassin type, but Cole should have spirit-related powers to represent his status like Wynne (she got an unique ability in DAO), Justice and Anders did before him.

Gaider also talked about Cassandra's combat style in her character profile and he didn't mention anything about templar skills. It does mention something about protecting people, being practical and having not specific combat style...

Protecting.... maybe Guardian? I think there was a specialization like this.

Champion is the new Guardian for DAI, it doesn't have anything in common with its old DAO self, just like the Guardian spec in Awakening and Aveline's custom spec don't share anything beside the name.

Saying that, I don't see Cassandra as one, because Blackwall fit it too.

Yea, I'm definitely starting to think it could be a mix of DAO and DA2 with companion specs

my face

is red as a tomato

Eirene's desire

Is so embarassing

Face reddens with shame

Dean's witty banter

Is not so witty at all

But Dean rolls with it

Dean once spent a class

Doing nothing but haiku

So lame was teacher

Assignment was twelve

But wrote fifty in boredom

That were not turned in

Yearly tradition

Give message in just haiku

Because I'm just swell

The Inquisitor can still close Veil tears without leading anything.

He/she could suck at leading and would be better off as the Inquisition's Official Mascot Who Also Closes Veil Tears.

And honestly, if she's the only one who can close those tears, why is she on the front lines risking her life? Stick the PC in a safe spot while everyone clears out the area, bring her out to close it, and then put her back in the safe spot so she can drink tea and read magazines.

So if Cassandra does get together with Leliana... that might be a reason to not romance her in canon? I don't know, but it's tempting in a bizarre way.

If Leliana only romances Cass when she never romances the Warden then I'd feel compelled to never romance her with my Warden. That would be sad.

I'd be happy not playing the leader personally. I'd ike to see them try different forms of storytelling, if they can risk it. Kind of... tricky to write an RPG like that though.

It actually made me want to use a male Morrigan-romancing Warden for my Keep import, which would be quite a change.

I can't reconcile the novels and Leliana's other cameos with her being romanced with a Warden. I've abandoned those playthroughs, just for that alone. She doesn't behave like someone in a romance. They don't even try to make it ambiguous.. She's just busy, off in her own adventures.

I found nothing in her DA 2 appearance to contradict the idea Leliana was romanced.

If I use a modern couple as a model, I don't see much problem with it. A lot of people fly across half the world for business or join wars and stay gone for years. This lack of intimacy and having a busy global lifestyle in Dragon Age though rubs me the wrong way.

Honestly I'm more interested in seeing how the Inquisitor is the one to start and lead the Inquisition and not Cassandra.

Because we da PC!

Sure, but I'd like more of an in story explanation than that, lol.

Here's hoping.

At the very least, they can't get away with Cassandra acting like "I like to be a little weak" Alistair this time.

I'm guessing the power to closes the rifts is so OP that Cass's feats can't overcome it in running for leader of the Inquisition.

No Cass/Leliana romance. She was with my Warden, now I may have chose Morrigan over her but she's my sidechick still. Also, my human male mage romanced so...cuckhold?

In the ancient and medieval world, soldiers often spent months to years away from their loved ones.

It doesn't help that we don't know when the Warden disappears.

So was there no Cass interview? Is there going to be? I figured you guys'd know, after I didn't see one in the OP.

Are you trying to convince me or convince yourself? Because it won't work for me. I'm not about to get in your way though. :)

I just think it resonates all the better if she's not romanced. Even her little cameo in DA2, for what little it matters, just works for me better that way. Un-Romanced she says something like "Ah, you've heard of my time with the Hero of Ferelden. I haven't thought about those years for some time". And her present actions reflect these words to me. She both talks and behaves like someone who has moved on. Romanced, she doesn't talk like she's moved on, but still behaves as if she has.

Anyways. It's just about what flows better for me, personally.

There is, it's just not organized like the others, it's just in regular paragraph format.

Edit: Oh nvm, guess they either changed it or it was someone else?
