Well, she had a crush on MHawke so we can already cross boys off the list. She didn't have a crush on FemHawke, so it is right now unknown wether she is also into girls or not.

I take everything from that interview with a grain of salt anyway, same for the game given its narrated by Varric.

Well the DA2 model was somewhat too "generic" for me so I like her a lot now.

I prefer her current look. Her face in DA2 looked too cartoony.
I like her either way, I just think she looked a little more...feminine in DA2 
That's just my personal taste, nothing sinister meant by that.
Oh yeah I didn't dislike her look in DA2. Just that DA I has polished it
For me, Cassandra in DAII = character creator :/ Like said above, too generic. I have a few female hawk who look close to her with the same hairstyle. I didn't even need to try hard. The only thing unique with Cassandra in DAII is her eyes.

Well said, that's what I feel as well. Needs something a little more...her own.

With the limited number of romance options and companions, I think that would be pointless, considering that some players prefer to romance female companions and play as women.

Warder's point is based on the possibility that Bioware chose to use the 2/2/2 LI ratio.

You pointed it out with an emoticon of a tongue sticking out. I retorted that I didn't see a purpose to prohibiting some players from a romance option simply because they prefer to play as a character from a certain gender.
Woah I leave this thread for a day and suddenly Dalish happens. Odd. I thought I had accidentally stumbled into the religion thread again.
At any rate, I'm interested to see how they deal with the whole Hawke thing. I realize that Varric and Cass don't exist just to reference the last game, but they did originally meet because Cassandra was looking for him/her. I imagine it'll just be a couple of intentionally vague conversations between the two, but it would probably feel weird if it never came up.
I imagine Varric's going to catch some flack for naming Hawke as "the one person who can help you put it all back together".

She looks fine to me.
I'm not surprised as they changed her DA II model a couple times before it came out.

Since Jade Empire, BioWare has provided awesome same-sex romances for women. I thought I'd be disappointed when I couldn't romance Morrigan, but then I romanced Leliana and she was sweet, girly, and devoted to me.
And you know what? Being female friends with Morrigan was great. When she told me I was like a sister, I got all sniffly and wanted to give her a hug.
I romanced Isabela in one playthrough of DA and Merrill in another. In each one, I liked the romance but I also liked the friendship.
For me, the Liara romance in Mass Effect was better than any of the others offered (I felt bad for Kaiden/Ashley fans after the Shadow Broker DLC, it was so good) but I enjoyed having Tali as a friend and wished they hadn't gutted the Jack and Miranda friendship paths in ME 2, because I loved the characters.
If Cassandra isn't an LI? Then I'll still love her because she'll still be a great character. And I have no doubt that whatever s/s romance is available will be wonderful.
