Welp, had to happen sooner or later. Sorry you lot who are disappointed.
I guess I'm a little bit too for my first playthrough, but I fully plan on playing a male character too down the line.

I always took her conversation with Varric as a strong hint to her being straight. It is interesting how many people percieved that conversation. I always percieved it as she respected FemHawke for what she had accomplish as a woman. Cass being a secret romantic. She develop a crush on BroHawke just from hearing Varric stories of him. Never once got the feeling Cass would be bi from that convo.
A part of me expected this, but a part of me is still disappointed.
Oh well, I'll be playing a male for her then. She's my Jack & Miranda of Dragon Age (Only Characters I've cared to make males to romance).
As note, coming in and making statements about how obvious it was is really just ostensibly rubbing salt in the wounds and telling those that were hopeful that they were foolish for even thinking so.
Which isn't necessary. Please don't do it. Thanks.
That said, I will romance her as a female. It will be a non-traditional romance, with many sad, pining glaces and long-suffering sighs. It will be a romance however.
Darn, I was planning a F/F romance with Cass for my first playthrough. Guess I'll play as a male instead.
Don't worry though I am sure there will be mods out there that will make Cass a female LI.
I think you might be able romance Cassandra as male, then edit the save game files to change your inquisitor to female. Editing the core game files seems like a much harder task, though, Frostbite is apparently notoriously difficult to mod for.

It's just a romance option. I don't know why people's feeling would be hurt by this. This post seems like coddling TBH.

He's only being fair. If it's coddling, he's done it for every type of fan related to this. No gloating policy.
Sorry.. what does that mean?

Sad news for those who wanted to romance Cass as female - http://raptr.com/Bio...c3d3a931e440acc. She is straight option only.
That's so sad, but I am glad they told us ahead of time.

Offtopic, but ever since this movie came out I've always wished that line was available to Shepard. ![]()
If some people feel pleased about it to the point of coming here to gloat even if it's "just a romance option" then it makes just as much sense for others to feel disappointed about it. And so it also makes sense to tell people to refrain from the former. It's just a romance option. I don't know why people's feeling would be hurt by this. This post seems like coddling TBH.

Why did it take 3 to 4 months to find out that Cassandra and Cullen are straight when straight people found out that Sera and Dorian were not available right away. All this time worrying and hoping was frankly bullshit.
Sorry to all the people who wanted Cass to be bi. All I can say is this: Do the happy dance.
I admit that wanted her to be straight and I always figured she would be, but I'm sorry to see so many people having gotten their hopes up. I feel like there's a lesson to be learned here about not getting too invested before getting confirmation, but I don't want to rubb salt in anyone's wounds.
But hey, at least there's still Sera and Scribbles for the ladies.

Scribbles is awful and Sera, while okay, was only a backup.
Don't worry, Cass. You'll still be my headcanon LI.

I'm sorry you're upset, but I don't think the reveals were meant to be catered to straight people or meant to cause distress to anyone in any way.
Slightly off topic, but where do people get the idea that Scribbles will even be a romance option? There's no way to know yet. Well, we have two straight and two gay LIs. I guess we need two bi ones now.
While I'm happy that she is available to (some) male Inquisitors, I cannot for the life of the understand the elation that she is straight - as if she would somehow be less available if she were bi.
My heart goes out to those fans - like Maria, who is sadly the only one who comes to mind, though I know there were many of you out there, hoping - who were excited at the prospect of romancing Cassandra.
