Firstly, I’d like to thank those who posted in response to Cassandra being confirmed as straight. It was good to see people behaving maturely; there was very little raging or gloating. It’s never nice to come in and find a flame war has broken out over something like this.

Does anyone know how Maria is taking the news? We all know how passionate she was about Cass (being the OP and all)

While I'm happy that she is available to (some) male Inquisitors, I cannot for the life of the understand the elation that she is straight - as if she would somehow be less available if she were bi.

My heart goes out to those fans - like Maria, who is sadly the only one who comes to mind, though I know there were many of you out there, hoping - who were excited at the prospect of romancing Cassandra.

The worst part in all of this is she's getting dumped in the ever growing pile of Biowares lead female characters that are straight. Bastilla, Dawnstar, Ashley (twice), Miranda, and Morrigan are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Well, at least Gaider said the female friendship relationship with Cass is worthwhile. I know that doesn't replace being a LI but it's something right? And I bet Sera and Josephine are great LIs as well.

Isn't Liara more of a leading female character than Ashley in ME3 at least? Seeing as she could be dead and all.

Good question. They did confirm however that our origins will factor through the story (like Hawke, I suppose), rather than just at the beginning. So it'll be unique either way.

That's great news. I'm hoping(wishful thinking) that as human mage we get to see our family at some point because if we are a Circle mage then we haven't seen them for quite some time. Also, hopefully are parents are dead/die this time around, RIP The Patriarch and Matriarch Couslands!

Eh, one thing I like about BW games is that with some exceptions (Bastila) who the "lead" is is really up to you. My list would read Bastila, Silk Fox, Tali, Leliana, Isabela.
