So for you sexuality is nothing more then an option that can be unlocked?
No different to any other aspect of the game that's locked imo. Mods enable people to enhance their private enjoyment of the game. Doesn't stop Cass being straight in my game.

I'm definitely looking forward to getting turned down by Sera. It was hilarious when Traynor did that in ME 3.
And even more hilarious when she kept showing him almost naked body for some reason. I really hope it won't be anything like that here.
They are just video game characters. It's not like forcing a change of sexuality on a real person.
So? That doesn't make them candy that gets handed out to everyone.
I'm really hoping that frosbite won't allow players to mod.
Why hope for something that would also limit all of the wonderful, creative mods that can potentially make the game look and sound better than ever and add content to exponentially increase replay value just because some of them might be something you disagree with?
Modding made DAO even greater than it was at launch and don't even get me started on Skyrim.
Samantha Traynor was extremely underdeveloped though. She didn't have certain character building scenes every other LI had and had the least dialogue time, not to mention it looked like more effort was put into making her tease for male PC than into her romance.
Let's wait and see how it will look like for Josephine and especially Sera (considering that she's women-only option). I just said that both Cullen and Cassandra for now look like more significant and important characters.
BTW, sorry for off-top, but I was under the impression that you said before that you're not lesbian?

Because I don't feel any sympathy toward those who can't accept the color skin or the sexuality of one character in their game. Yes it's their game, but then don't expect me to feel any sympathy toward you and your need to have those mods. I don't f*cking care if you are unhappy, that's none of my business; And the fact that on this forum, i've seen many people telling that white washing is fine is normal, let them, didn't do anything to make me feel anything toward the whole community.
I've seen too many people playing with that crap. Also, console players can't enjoy them, ( even if i'm not personally affected )
they can unlock if they want but if Bioware wrote these character with there sexuality's in mind they most likely did not record dialog for a male inquisitor or female inquisitor for the romance's they try to unlock.
Yeah, I'm getting flashback to ME3 and the modded Ashley romance, where femshep starts talking with male Shep's voice.

I didn't find that hilarious, I found it stupid and a little insulting. Like ManShepard is some sort of unprofessional idiot who would be greedily looking ''down there'' instead of into the eyes of a subordinate while she is taking a bath.
And it also happened with the straight female Shepard for some reason. I wish there was a renegade interrupt for turning on an icy shower above her stupid head.

Also, they made REAL gay romances this time, as in, it's part of their identity and life experience. See Dorian. Turning your DudeQuisitor into a woman would probably not fix anything. The dialogue would be all wrong, because it is meant for a man. Two men.

Aannnnnnnd I have 'Dude looks like a lady' stuck in my head. Thanks. ![]()

So because a very small percentage of people are racist homophobes or just pining for one specific character, nobody should get things like difficulty overhauls, custom specializations, reskinned weapons or utility mods?
Ok.
Personally, I don't like modding; it feels like breaking canon to me, and that makes me feel fundamentally uncomfortable.
I even use a mod that gives Isabela pants.
Not sure if that's more or less offensive than making her a pale blonde.
I really don't like sexuality altering mods.
Mods making Dorian, Sera, Cassandra or Cullen bisexual would be no better than the "Make Isabela white" mods.

Well, it's also character-breaking, so I find it hard to condone.
Two words.
POLYAMOROUS RELATIONSHIP.
Make it happen, Bioware.
Urgh. I've seen way too much highshool drama (and drama that should have been left behind in highschool), watched way too many bad harem anime, read way too many bad fanfiction, and seen a few too many bad polygamy-in-action scenarios to have a good feeling about that.
Only if the two NPCs were already going to have their own relationship regardless, and the PC wedges in as a third wheel. Maybe then.
But I do not want what happens all to often, in which 'everyone loves eachother' becomes 'central dominant actor with multiple satellite love interests revolving around central character alone.' That's not even including the other undesirable aspects that frequently cluster along with it, such as the power and wealth politics at play.

I don't feel this is exactly character assassination

In this case, I'll agree with you. Not about drama or anime or fan fiction, none of which I've seen (floating in a bubble of social obliviousness in high school had its upsides), but on your last paragraph; while polyamory does specifically interest me, I definitely want it to be about "everyone loves each other;" that seems to be the only way it's healthy or sensical.

In Mass Effect I always wanted to use Commander Privilages to turn down the thermostate to a nice, chill 50 F. That would have improved the scenery of ME2's Normandy to my liking.
How do you guys feel about fan fiction and fan art with same-sex pairings for straight characters?
Those usually come with a warning label, so they are easy to avoid if it's not your cup of tea. Let people have their fun. Just don't force it on others.

Personally, I am crushed by not being able to romance Cassandra as a female Inquisitor, but I've never used mods to bypass gender restrictions on romances, and even if it were available in DA:I I wouldn't use it...because I want to play as a woman and experience romances written for female characters as a woman, and mods can't change that.
I definitely don't blame others who have used them in the past, though, and I don't think feeling disenfranchised as a player who wants a homosexual romance option is comparable to someone creating a mod to make a character "prettier" by making them lighter skinned.
