Sounds pretty much like an excuse to me, also the link he gave is about changing a gay character into bi, also against everyone being bi and erasing homosexual representation, so changing just one character from straight to bi has nothing to do with those things.

I don't know why the assumption almost always seems to be that she'd have to have had a super srs relationship where they are super in love and totally like soul mates until fate cruelly rips them apart as she stoically chooses her duty over her lover or whatever. Either that or she's a virgin.
What if she's had tons of casual sex to blow off some steam just because sex is fun and people have urges?
Oh i read it, but you seems to generalize and equate a rape scenario to someone preferring lighter skin on a character or altering said characters sexuality and excuse away similar actions when it comes to changing canonly straight characters to suit gay/lesbian player/readers.
And as i said i object to any altering of character canon, but you are making assumption about the personal character of individuals who create such mods based on subjective evidence.
But i doubt much will come of this discussion, we can agree to disagree and get back to the topic at hand: Cass.

We are talking about medieval fantasy here. Contraception as we know it doesn't exist, if at all (contraceptive magic?). I'd say that non-virgin heterosexual females who are not in a permanent arrangement would be in the minority. The fun didn't start for us in the real world till the 60's either

People are getting too hung up on this straight/bi/lesbian thing. It's like her orientation has somehow made her less interesting because a group of people can't do the whole LI thing. I'm sorry ladies, really I am. But can't you enjoy the character just the same? This basically proves that interest for the character was more about 'but can my PC bed her' than Cassandra herself. I find this as absurd as killing Zevran for hitting on my PC (I actually know people who have done this).

And no, I don't think that straight people who write fiction or make fan art where a gay character is with a moment of the opposite sex are doing something wrong. Though I sometimes find the work itself problematic.

It was more the "her mouth hangs open in some sort of horrid 'sexy' facial contortion" then the ejaculating on a woman's breasts that had me assuming, but if that wasn't the point of your post then it was just a case of miscommunication, i personally find all works that mess with a character's canon problematic so i get where you are coming form.
Now to the topic of CC (Cassandra's Cherry ;P) she might be a virgin, we are told she is a romantic and if we choose to assume she had no time for any meaningful relationships, she could conceivably be a virgin.
