So anyway I am hoping that we can have a teasing kind of relationship with Cassandra.  I feel like it would be fun to be a character that outwardly annoys her but she is actually amused by it.  If that makes sense.

I can definitely see that kind of relationship with a Inquisitor that has a clever/sarcastic personality.

 

 

I'm personally thinking they are still working on Cassandra's face, because we never had one good screenshot about her.

Didn't they say they are still tweaking the eyes? Maybe that is why they are holding out.

I'm hoping Cassandra is the only person Josephine can't handle personally. Just because I think it would be amusing.

 

That would work out quite well. Since Cassandra is very black and white (while she is getting better she will still be stubborn) it would fallow that she would not work well with someone who works to please all sides and bend things to fit.

He probably just picked the name we knew to make a point, being that making one character bisexual just disappoints another audience that would prefer a different character, either way. I wouldn't take it as confirmation of anything.

I wonder if Cassandra will end up taking elements of that Tsundere thing in regards to the Inquisitor. It would be fitting if she wasn't so open and willing to admit that she's grown attracted to the Inquisitor since she seems more like a "Duty before love" lady only that "Duty" never seemed to end after she became prominent within the order.

I don't feel this is exactly character assassination

 

Not gonna lie, I used the pants mod when I finally got the PC version. My goodness was the PC version much more fun than the 360 version. I was so angry when I first got the game for 360, it left a bad taste in my mouth but years later I tried the PC version and it gave me a better outlook upon DAII. The much better combat was a huge plus.

This is a bit of a misconception. There is at least one character who is not a companion or an advisor whom you can flirt with. When Cameron said that there were eight romances, he was referring to eight romances within the companions and advisors.

Why is that disturbing? What is disturbing about it? In a lot of cultures, mostly middle-eastern and asian countries (and the US of LOL) virginity is highly prized. Some people feel their entire family's honour is wounded when it is taken away. Some think virgins are a reward in heaven.

 

These are international forums, so you are bound to run into (non-western) people who put value on things that we might find idiotic. And vice versa. I think there are quite a lot more disturbing things in the world out there right now than some people's fetish/obsession with virginity.

Why are past relationships so important that they have to be brought up? I see no gain in knowing who my LI used to sleep with. 

 

To use DA2 as an example, what was the real gain in Anders saying Karl was a lover instead of a friend? Was Fenris or Merrill lacking in some way because they never brought up their past in the romance department? 

 

I don't need to know the down and dirty details, but I like to know about my significant other's lives before they met me, and their past relationships are part of that. 

 

I don't want them to be hung up on it, and I don't need a list, but it does help them feel like they weren't spawned from the ether to meet and fall inlove with the PC.

I even saw that for Miranda after the Shadowbroker DLC which revealed that Miranda met people for no-strings-attached casual sex. That is some serious mental gymnastics.

 

That's just... creepy. And bizarre. Ugh. 

 

I hope she's not a virgin. I hate all the "just so you know... I haven't been with anyone else" talks that crop up out of the blue for the male romances. It's like, who frakkin cares? Why must the love interests be virgins?

 

I would only see it as an issue for people if she was like Isabela and diddled just about anything with legs. That could be a huge turn off. But seeing as how Cassandra did not proposition Varric during the interrogation or get all handsy in DotS, I'm going to assume (dangerous, I know) that she is not like Isabela, so there would probably be no cause to worry about a weird rash or scale itch or whatever.

 

She is a grown woman, and I don't think it would be very believable for a woman her age to not have had sex.

 

I've never understood the virgin fetish/pedestal, but that's just me. Anyway, I'm optimistic that a woman who is almost 40 has managed to have sex at least a few times. 

 

I'm not sure why her being a closet romantic would make any more likely to be a virgin. It may make her much less likely, or completely unwilling, to enter into a casual sexual relationship. But it doesn't rule out the possibility that she may have had a long & loving relationship (or relationships) in the past, and that she partook in everything that lovers normally do with each other.

 

IMO a loved & lost backstory would even be more interesting than one where she has been waiting decades for the right person.
