It would be interesting to see what would provoke Cassandra into leaving the inquisition, if at all. Not something I'm striving for but would still be interesting.

 

I suspect that won't be possible. We know one companion cannot leave and she's seems like the best fit.  In a way, she has been presented in the same fashion has the advisors: her goals are the Inquisition's goals. While all the other companions have their own personal goals/agenda.

 

She also balances the advisors: Josephine and Leliana are the spying diplomatic appear nice side, while Cassandra and Cullen are the more forceful military straight forward side. She is even displayed with them in the "Meet the Heroes" trailer.

Suffice it to say, accusing the writers of not caring about lesbian/bisexual women is probably crossing a line or two.

What does that mean though? For either your Inquisitor or Cassandra, it's an opportunity. I'm almost positive some people will depart far from what she envisions.

 

At least, I'd be surprised if she was just loyal to the title of Inquisition, on it's own. It doesn't mean anything by itself.

 

The Inquisition will always be about restoring (some) order and solving the Fade Breach puzzle. It's the story of the game and the only thing Cassandra cares about.

I guess I'll wait and see. I disagree that it's the only thing though. I know order is her main concern, but there's got to be more than that. It would suck if that's all anyone cared about.

I still think she's still on a mission for the (perhaps now, late) Divine. Order being the priority, but it can't all be about the veil tears, they hadn't happened back during her interrogation of Varric, had they?

We don't know what path will lead to the demons winning, though.

 

Despite our best efforts, they might win anyway.

 

Cassandra might even be partially responsible if the demons win.

That's what I think. There will be two (or three) endings which can be imported (or "kept" ) and one which cannot be imported ("kept") for DA4.

 

I think either Mike or Mark mentioned that there are a few different, UNIQUE endings.

Yeah, that's what I was kind of thinking because no way can there be a DA4 if demons are ruling the continent.

Speaking of tumblr, someone did point something out that I kind of agree with.

 

Now I don't understand the workings of Biowares marketing team, but what was the point of announcing Cullen and Cassandra as romances and waiting this long to reveal that they are straight only? That was months of people getting their hopes up only to be smashed (if not unsurprisingly so.) Would have made more sense I think if they had just came out and said they were straight right when they were revealed as romances, before Sera and Dorian were revealed as gay. 

 

If we all knew the gays wouldn't have been as upset, and the straight dudes might (key word might...) not have thrown as much of a fit over Sera, because they would have had a confirmed LI already.

That's assuming there is a DA4. There might not be. Bioware doesn't seem like a company that would drag out a franchise forever and ever just to milk money out of it.

 

Oh wait... Mass effect 4.

 

Just kidding. I'm almost as hyped for a new Mass Effect as for this game.
