That depends more on diet than anything else. Doesn't matter how much exercise you do if you eat more than you use.
Of course.. I just replied to the Oghren comment.
You just need a lot of carbs to ruin everything.

Yeah, if people actually ran around in heavy armor, they'd have no body fat at all.
I don't see her as buff though (like Gina Carano above). Just cut. A little wiry maybe. Like a basketball player.
Sounds about right. You need increasingly heavy loads to bulk up. She would have long, well defined flexing muscles...*fans self* This topic really needs to come up in the Dorian thread ![]()

Depends on the kind, I think? Proteins can contribute to fat, but since few people stack up on proteins, it's less likely to be wasted. Especially on a soldier. It will aid muscle growth instead (assuming the person is active). Carbs have to be watched more closely. Guzzling a lot of beer like Oghren leads to carbs being stored as fat. There's nothing else his body can do with them after a point. And he'll never get rid of that fat until he depletes his carb intake.

If we're just talking about body fat overall then calories is all that matters. For people who are as physically active as Cassandra for example she would actually need quite a bit of carbs to keep her energy up, but body fat is determined by calories in vs calories out.
Maybe that's the secret to why Cassandra is so grumpy all the time, she doesn't eat enough carbs, lol.

We actually don't know how physically active Cassandra has been in recent years, at least in terms of how often she exercises/trains and participates in combat.

I think it's safe to say most people in Thedas get way more physical activity than real life modern day people, even if it's just from standing on their feet all day.

lol.. now I wonder what her diet is. maybe she's a vegetarian.

She's fit enough to be the frontline warrior in a party consisting of a grizzled grey warden and a roided-out qunari.

She probably eats rusty nails soaked in the blood of her enemies.

Lots of iron in her diet, I guess.
"Vitamins would be easier, Cassandra.."
you gotta eat the beef to swing the hammer
What's the quickest way to get her "hot and bothered"? That's the real question ![]()

Not to mention she has to be fit enough to easily move in that armor and not get tired quickly.
I would love her to be a vegetarian.
I expect she eats a lot of game if she travels.
Mispronounce her name.
"A pleasure to meet you Cassandra Pentu-goust."
"Pentaghast."
"Pentu...hast?"
~sigh~ "Pen-ta-ghast."
"Oh yes! Pan-ta-goust." *warm smile*
Pull an Isabella: "Ghasthole! Bwhahahah!"
...And get promptly punched in the face.
She's propably omnivore out of sheer necessity. I'd expect her to be able to hunt, seeing that scavenging is a time-honored method for armies to survive in field ![]()
to get her all hot and bothered huh...... have varric recite all of isabella's banter lines from da2
I think the better way to express your preference would be to say that you prefer not too much muscle.
Not to imply that those body types are gross. Especially since men get away with having tons of muscles, but soon as women have them, they're considered disgusting or unwomanly or something.
Women can have muscles if they want, but I just find it nasty if a women has super super gigantic muscles. It's a huge turn off for me. Sorry to get off topic.

On a sidenote, I'm really hoping I can hunt in this game. I don't think the gameplay is conducive to stalking around like Skyrim, but I'm hoping the crafting system incorporates stuff like this.

Women can't get that bulky unless they take steroids or testosterone supplements. You need testoterone to build those massive bodies we see in competitions.
On topic: How to get Cass hot and bothered? Well, if we mean in the sexy times way (how else?)... I have no idea. Flex your muscles a bit? Offer a back rub? We need more info!

Surely they wouldn't add all these cute little animals they've shown without us being able to kill and skin them. :S
(Inquisitor slays two Ferelden Frostbacks single-handedly)
Cassandra: (bites lip)
Inquisitor: (winks at her)
Cassandra: Inquisitor, we must....speak privately....in your quarters later.
Inquisitor: (breaking the fourth wall, whispers to the player) Thank you

Well, this is Bioware. Of course cruelty is an option.

I wonder if there will be a 'bunnies slaughtered' statistic in the 'Heroic Feats' screen. Skyrim had one. It was rather rewarding to see it build up, like it was an all-important goal. ![]()
