I recall a scene where about two dozen golems appeared and she starts fighting them, taking down about seven before she gets overwhelmed.

Where did those even come from? This is before the events of DA:O. I don't see a bunch of blood mages having golems in their back pockets. Then after she runs from them, you don't see them again. If I were a group of mages with golems, I'd use them on my attack of the Grand Cathedral.

Perhaps Dawn of the Seeker is one of Leliana or Varric's stories.

Sounds like Varric to me lol

So this is a weird question but how great would it be if at the Ball we attend in Orlais we can bring a "Date".  I would love to see the dynamics of this if you brought Cassandra.

I'd like to see the ball crashed by city elf terrorists. Right before you lean in to kiss. :D

It would be awesome if they did it like it was in the Citadel dlc. You could bring anyone, romancable or not.

I somewhat doubt they are going to let Sera, Iron Bull, Cole or Solas enter an Orlesian ball.

I by "they" I mean Vivienne, Leliana and Josephine.

It would be hilarious to bring someone completely scandalous and inept and then rub it in the face of the nobles that you don't care about protocol. Risky, but hilarious nevertheless.

Oh, I know it would be amusing and scandalous and it might even be part of a "failed playthrough" I guess, but believe me Vivienne, Leliana and Josephine (probably even Cassandra and Dorian) are all going to be angry at you for putting the Inquisition's image in such a precarious condition.

Yup, I wouldn't be surprised if we can only choose between Cass, Vivienne or Josephine to take to a ball.

Josephine and Vivienne are most likely the smartest choices, since they are the politic experts.

I don't think they'd object to them, but those characters would raise a scandal, because Orlesians.

Well, I never claimed my Inquisitor was the most responsible, sensible bloke in town, did I?  ;)

Socially inept and not human.

That's the most coherent explanation, to be sure, as that scene and basically every scene with ogres was completely nonsensical.

Varric must have an extremely low view of that elf, then.

The Inquisitor can also be non-human. I fail to see how an elf with a human or a qunari with a human is less scandalous than two elves. Either way, you're still the non-human leader of the Inquisition showing up at a ball.

Socially inept and not human.

They're a date. They just need to wear a nice outfit and be mildly pleasant.

Sera and Solas aren't even Dalish Elves- they are are city elves deigning themselves equal enough to be an honored guest. Best case scenario, people misunderstand and think they're your attendants, which raises problems of their own. Iron Bull, on the other hand. . . huge, Qunari, enemy of the chantry, and all that jazz.

Yeah, but you are the Inquisitor. Leader of a powerful organization, chosen by the Maker himself! Sera's a thief, Solas is an apostate and a hermit, and Iron Bull is a mercenary.

And more importantly, how do you think those three would fare in a ball? I cannot think of people less appropriate for the occasion.

If this is true then just the Inquisitor showing up would cause a scandal.

Qunari Inquisitor + Cassandra is still a qunari showing up at a ball.

While a group of affluent white people in the forties might have been okay with Jackie Robinson being at their party because he's famous,  how many would have approved of him bringing his bat boy who also happens to be black with him? Racism is very much an Orlesian thing.

Yes, and I'm willing to bet that a Qunari inquisitor that shows up with IB, Sera, and Solas is going to elicit a stronger reaction than a human who shows up with Cassandra, Dorian, and Varric.

That's an exception; hero, leader of a cause tangental to the Chantry (and, by association, Orlais') who just happens to be a Qunari is different than being a city elf who is really good at bow-ing. Not saying that that is in any way an enlightened or correct view, but that its likely.

Iron Bull is a qunari. I think he knows how to control himself, even if he now lives a wild lifestyle. Solas is already introverted and demure. Sera is really the only problem, but I assume that before you take them, you ask them if they'll behave themselves. She might be a spontanous, fun-loving person, but she's not a toddler.

Only Cole is a problem, what with him looking like the living dead.

The Inquisitor might want to cause a bit of a scandal.  Whether in the hope of provoking wider change, to show that their silly social rules don't apply to me or just for fun.
