*insert "mount" and/or "ground and pound" joke here*

Here's an ESPN article on female hokey player Hillary Knight. She also would be a good contender of a Cassandra body model.

Oh my. Yes, that's exactly how I imagine Cassandra's body.

Just sprinkle a seasoning of battle scars, and presto! You got Cassandra.

I personally think that Cassandra see Cole for what he is: a spirit that crossed the veil when someone else died. The Nevarrans respect these sort of spirits so much that they create tombs and pretty corpses just for them. I think she might be a very stereotypical Nevarrans which include: love of heroics, arts, warmongering and respecting the spirits/deads.
It's official then. I'll be a bigger hardass than Cassandra. My main issue with anything magic related is spirits (but not magic itself). They're like unwanted immigrants.
I'll probably pick on Cole too.
I might even end up hating myself, if that green hand is related to any of this.

So basically you're worried fade spirits are crossing over to take our jarbs.

Exactly!
It's nice to be understood. ![]()
Seriously though.. I'm sympathetic to just about everything Lambert discussed. Except his trying to depose the Divine. Everything he actually said though were standard Chantry beliefs. I'll start from this point of view. It'll be interesting how much chips away over time (if at all).
DERKA DURRR
*chicken noises* god i love southpark
if only ogrhen would show up so we could get some dirty party banter going.... i bet cassandra would beat his ass up if he even thought about it.

lol.. I'm in tears now. Haven't seen South Park in a long time.
Wow. I didn't realise the Bechdel test was so complex... Oh wait, no it's not.
It is simply a test of female representation. It has nothing to do with relationships between women (for example: named women who hate each other or are rivals for the same man, discussing something other than a man in a film would still pass the Bechdel test), or between women and men.
It's a simple test because it's supposed to be a low bar/standard. That a large number (the majority) of films fail the test highlights the systemic problems of sexism in Hollywood.
So yeah, please don't take this test out of context. Please don't make it into more than what it is.

It's a nice low bar to have, but it's not perfect. You're right though, it's amazing how many screen writers can't even pass it though, which is really bad...

I watch TV shows more than movies. Seems like women don't get reduced to that as much. A lot of things I watch are ensemble type of stories.. so there's plenty opportunity for women to interact with each other. But it's all business or plot related. I could gather 20 years of Star Trek alone (TNG, Voyager, and DS9), and women aren't like that. They're just people.
I'm pretty sure the bulk of conversations between women in DAI will focus on the big hole in the sky and the horde of undocumented spirit-immigrants pouring out. Not about men.

Oh. I thought it was going to be witty banter the writers found funny.

I still think Dreya Weber is the perfect body model for Cass (page 213
