What type of inquisitor are people here going to romance cass with? I'm going with a male elf warrior, so they can be comrades in arms..

Why does it always need to be about romance? What about people who want to be her friends. She looks like she needs friends...and hugs.

Saying that, my first playthrough is going to be a mage. Probably human, although Dalish might be interesting. I'm not a fan of races in the DA series, not sure why I got plenty of none-humans in other games. Class won't change, it's a tradition, but gender isn't fixed. Which means it could be a forever-along lady friendship playthrough or a romance one.

If she isn't race-gated then Elven mage, if she is then human mage. I like the idea of an elf who doesn't harbor any love for the Chantry falling for someone who does.

That too, but since romance is an option, I'm going to try it at least once. It would be fun to be friends with her. Maybe...

I'm only going to befriend Cassandra when I play a female Inquisitor.

When I play a male Inquisitor, I'm almost always going to romance her (unless Vivienne is also a LI).

One thing David Gaider said in his interview with LadyInsanity is that the player will not start the game as a leader.  That leads me to believe that the first act of the game will focus on the player helping build the Inquisition, but not act as its leader.  That makes me wonder if Cassandra initially takes up the leadership role before being replaced by the player.  The question then is, does she cede authority to the player by choice, or is she coerced to.  That could make for an interesting dynamic in her relationship with the player, romance or no.

He could've very well referred to the prologue and the first meeting between Cassandra and the Inquisitor, not necessarily to a long act in which we're not the leader. Both are possible.

I wonder if love triangles are around this time... If Cassandra and Josephine end up both wanting the Inquisitor... Although, being a diplomat Josie would probably let Cassandra have the field for the sake of unity. Cassandra would probably try to do the same too, being focused on the task at hand... Yep, if you try to romance them both, they'll both dump you. I'm calling it now!

It's a shame Cass has no interest in claiming the Nevarren throne.

Regardless, I'm kinda hoping so. That would be interesting.

Everyone wants to start a Stark/Lannister  :P

I can also see myself doing a later playthrough simply to try out the Cass romance. Won't be my canon run though, that's for my female inquisitor. We can still be BFF's tho! :P

They confirmed that there is no polyamory in the game.

Yeah, I hope so too. Walking about the peace conference, talking to all of the major players in the mage/templar war (before they all get killed off) would be pretty cool.

A lot of the Devs have said that the Inquisition grows throughout the game, sometimes flippantly, sometimes not so. I think it'd be safe to assume we start out like a choir group and then expand to a proper army as we collect more allies (and companions).

During the lead them or fall trailer at e3 am guessing once Cassandra found the Inqusitor she either tortured him or he was really out of it[injured or distress],if that was indeed him when we saw the shadows of Viv and Cassadra walking away

Torture isn't really Cassandra's style. She seems to prefer intimidation (book stabbing, sword at throat, etc.)

Also, are we sure that was Viv? I could have sworn it was Leliana. It would make more sense plot wise. Doesn't Viv join us after throwing a ball for us or something?
