If anything, she's a dragon. Screw with her and she will burn your ass.
She comes from a whole family of dragon slayers. And got famous for singlehandedly kicking the **** out of dragons. I don't think she likes them much.

I'll reserve dragon persona for someone from Tevinter, I think.
Or Flemeth, of course.

Dragon hunters not slayers. The Pentaghasts do a lots of things with the dead dragons: weapons, armors and spicy sauces. They don't just kill for sport. It also mean that they probably respect dragons quite a bit.

They nearly caused their extinction. This wasn't population control of bunnies and hogs, or some bond between nature and humans.
Cassy the dragon slayer?
(had to pick that version instead of the original because I'm having a slight nerdgasm over it)
They nearly caused their extinction. I'd say qualify that qualifies as slaying. This wasn't population control of bunnies and hogs, or some bond between nature and humans.
Going by the Silent Grove comic revelations, I don't think that's what really happened. That's just what everyone believe.
The Pentaghasts do a early wyverns hunt to keep population in check. I'm pretty sure they did the same for dragons. They have been hunting for far longer than the Steel age.

Fair enough. It'd be cool to hear new info in DAI about this.
Better yet, i'd like Cassandra to encounter Flemeth. I wonder what she thinks of the Pentaghast name, if anything.

Still not sold on Cass = Cat ![]()
They've always seemed like the stereotypical rogue-ish species to me. Sneaky, nocturnal, lone hunters. Unless it's lions (females at least.. seems like the males are just lazy freeloaders). But if I were to single out the lioness, it'd be Aveline.
How about some bird of prey for Cass? An eagle or some such. It's often a symbol of royalty as well as strength and courage.

I expect most of the companions to ask Cassandra what kind of crappy job the dragon extinction was after the Inquisition encounter more than 2 of them. The answer should be interesting.
As for Cassandra and Flemeth, I expect sarcasm. From both of them. Cassandra because she doesn't believe in the myth and Flemeth because she's Flemeth.
Although, I still can't shake a funny feeling from DA2 where two lines of Morrigan's DAO intro were replayed in DA2: one by Flemeth and the other, deformed by context. by Cassandra (throw hands in the air, talks about something swooping down). It could just be a throwback of course, Cassandra is just a strange choice for it.
i like the cassandra = wolf comparison from a page or two back
Saw this in the Varric thread but I thought the speculation about Cass was spot on:

No Vivienne?
No Vivienne?
she seems too uppity (at least thats my impression of her) to dance
Who doesn't like kittens? You think she would be into ocelots? Because those are pretty cool.

She hasn't been announced as a love interest. No Vivienne?
I prefer Cassandra confidently leading her partner to the floor and keeping a proper distance away during the dance.
She hasn't been announced as a love interest.
Neither Blackwall, Varric or Solas have either. Also, I would like a mixture of Cassandra confidently leading her partner around the floor all while holding the Inquisitor close and tight. ![]()
Thinking of animals, Cassandra would be a war horse in my mind. Tough, loyal, and can kick your skull in.
I'd like a scene where she and Leliana get drunk, and swap stories about and morn the Divine.
I know how Leliana shows her grief. I wonder if Cassandra sinks into a sort of cold, detached state.
Heck, let's have the entire Inquisition get drunk!
I could see Cassandra hiding grief behind anger. It seems more her style.

Dawn of the Seeker has Cassandra show her grief, it last like 10 seconds before she return into "business mode".
So I just watch dawn of the seeker on hulu plus....pretty good movie with cassandra
