Hi Mr. Weekes! I wanted to ask because I'm an excited Solas fan, who did you enjoy writing Solas' banter with the most? ^^

Cole is probably my favorite. If you like either character, listening to their banter is a must. Also Solas/Cassandra.

I'm not sure what spirits and demons have to do with her belief in the Maker.

 

Solas might be Andrastian for all we know too. Just an Andrastian with a different point-of-view (hence theological debates). We also don't know much about the Seekers, they might be receiving a less indoctrinated education than the rest of the Chantry and Circle mages do. It is an order surrounded by secrecy...

 

Also, Cassandra is Nevarran, they have a different take on death and spirits than the rest of the Chantry.

He may have been addressing how Andrastians view Spirits and Demons, as they believe Spirits are the First Children of the Maker, and Demons are Spirits who turned their backs on the Maker in jealousy over humanity, and even embody different "sins" now. I'm not certain that Solas' views would change Cassandra's view about the Maker, although I could imagine they might discuss their own views on the matter.

Solas' views on the Fade seems to be unique. I'm not sure if one can categorize him as having a specific view that can be attributed to a certain culture. He certainly doesn't seem to share the Dalish view that all spirits are dangerous, so he seems to have formulated his own outlook on the Fade as a self-taught apostate.

 

Also, Cassandra is Nevarran, they have a different take on death and spirits than the rest of the Chantry.

 

True. She may have no issue with a necromancer, either. That should be good news for Xil.
