I just think of the sausage.According to OXM, we're going to the capital of Navarra, which is Cumberland.

Bad news, everyone. Seems we aren't going to Nevarra after all.
@Mike_Laidlaw Okay, Can we then be able to play as Nevarran in the future? I love the country Nevarra. Thanks for puting the country in #DAI
@TemplarCode Nevarra's not a playable space in #DAI. It's referenced heavily, but you won't go there directly.
Hmm, Nevarra (city) is the capital of Nevarra. Cumberland is just the largest city in the country (and of all of Thedas too).
In real life, depending on the ethnicity, the skull (sometimes called death's head) means: death, mortality, afterlife and soul. Although, in modern time it also means non-conformist and rebellious. Going by what we know of Nevarra, I'll go for the old meaning personally.
They sure like death there.
That's interesting. Given the recent news about Nevarra not being included in Inquisition, I suppose it might be saved for a DLC or expansion, or a future Dragon Age game that might focus more prominently on the area.
LobselVith8, I think you misquoted my post.
I'm sad about no Nevarra, but at the same time it means that Cassandra will have to tell us more about the place, because we won't be able to see it.
Whoo, new Cass thread. I'm gonna have to read up.
There's always certain characters you gravitate toward, and there's just something about Cass.

Ok, I went to sleep and now that I was checking the forum just to take a quick look, I find out this. Did I miss anything else important?

Given the succession crisis, it would be a waste not to visit Nevarra in some way or another. So you may be right and will see it in a DLC. Or maybe they just decided (like with the Tevinter Imperium) that it's too interesting a place just for some quests and will have its own DA game set there (Cassandra in Dragon Age 4!).

Not really, except that many of the information in the mag are now put into question (unless the dev confirmed). It's impossible to know what they got right and what they speculated on.
I personally believe that we are going to get a game set in Nevarra at some point. The dragons are returning and that is the country with all the dragon hunters, there is something going on here plot-wise.

I must admit that before we had those news about visiting Nevarra, Ferelden and the Free Marches, I always thought that the idea for Dragon Age was to set each game in a different place (not unlike The Elder Scrolls). DA:O was Ferelden, D2 was Free Marches and Inquisition was going to be Orlais, maybe with the option of visiting some places from previous games. Upcoming games could happen in Nevarra, Rivain, the Anderfels and Tevinter. Now I don't know anymore.
A pity. With some luck, Cassandra will provide some infodump. Or not. My main complaint about Garrus in the first Mass Effect was that he provided information about C-Sec, but not about the Turians! What if the same happens to Cassandra and she only talks about her time as a Seeker?
well that just means cassandras gonna be a badass character like garrus was

Cassandra: "You got lucky when you joined! Back in my day we didn't have fancy pansy swords! We had sticks, two sticks and a rock for a whole platoon! And we each had to share the rock!"

I'm not expecting more than perhaps a single small conversation about Nevarra from Cassandra.
@Milan92, I love your avatar. That is all.

Unlike the ME team, the DA team use characters as info dump. Almost everything we know about countries and organization was mentioned by followers. Even Isabela told us about the Seer of Rivain.
So, I expect Cassandra, being a member of the most prominent family in Nevarra, to tell us quite a bit about the place. I also expect her to talk about the Seekers, the Chantry, the previous Inquisition, dragon hunting and her brother.

I'm just saying she hasn't been there in almost 20 years so she will be much more knowledgeable about the groups she is with for over half her life.
Plus I'm keeping expectations low. If she does say much more, than yay.

We can't be sure she actually spent those 20 years only in Orlais. The Seekers investigate and keep the Chantry safe everywhere. It's possible she spent most of her time in Nevarra or even in another country.

I never said Orlais. I meant pretty much the same thing you said. As a Seeker, she travels a lot and probably only learns what she needs to about the culture she is going to to aid in her missions.

Agreed. For all we know, maybe she hasn't come back to Nevarra in all these years. Family issues.
I seriously want to know more about Tevinter, Rivain and Nevarra (in this order). Since Tevinter and Rivain weren't going to appear, I wanted to know more about Nevarra. It seems I'll have to wait.
i think tevinter will get its own game by itself.... there is just way too much story to be explored there... truly i think tevinter will be the last game they make just for that fact
or the anderfels, you know back to where the first blight began
With the country facing civil war, mage templar battles and a demon invasion, I have the feeling Orlais will soon see a lot of Nevarran tourists. ![]()

You forgot the dragons. Everyone forget about the dragons...
But I do expect Nevarra to conquer a bit more of Orlais in Inquisition. Which means that Cassandra might end up between a rock and a hard place. She want to stop the madness, but she might have to kill (extended) family members to do so. ![]()

Which will she choose: Her Pentaghast blood or her status as Hero of Orlais?
why ask apples or bananas when you could have oranges?

I don't think she care about her Hero of Orlais title that much, she was trying to save the Divine, not Orlais. Also, she looked way more happy about being named Right Hand of the Divine than Hero of Orlais in DotS.

Well, given how closely tied the Chantry is with Orlais I think it's relevant in that respect.
