Solas might be Andrastian for all we know too. Just an Andrastian with a different point-of-view (hence theological debates). We also don't know much about the Seekers, they might be receiving a less indoctrinated education than the rest of the Chantry and Circle mages do. It is an order surrounded by secrecy...

 

Also, Cassandra is Nevarran, they have a different take on death and spirits than the rest of the Chantry.

You are talking about her "the world is very black & white" point-of-view, but that was already shaken at the end of DA2. Strangely, going by how DAI has a "big bad", I'm not sure that point-of-view is wrong...
