According to the developers, there's been no polyamory in any of the DA games, which means they aren't counting threesomes.

Polyamory is when you can be romantically attracted to more than one person at the same time and are willing to have a relationship with more than one person at the same time (generally with both parties being aware of the other). Like polygamists. There is a difference between having a threesome and being polyamorous, so BioWare is correct in saying that there has been no polyamory in any of their games.

Oh, I was aware of the difference. It's just that I asked if love triangles were going to possible and the answer I got was that there was no polyamory in the game. I assumed that to be a 'no', but maybe someone got it wrong... (tricky Devs.)

I guess that depends what you mean by love triangles. The dev did say that once you are "set" into a romance most flirt options disappears, which makes leading on two different persons kind of hard. You can break off a romance though and probably move to someone else I guess.

I think it will be like ME3, where there will be a romance lock conversation that stops all other romances other than the one you are now in after that conversation.

Basically I was hoping for a Leliana VS Morrigan/Alistair/Zevran or Alistair VS Zevran/Leliana type of situation. Those conversations were comedy gold.

Yeah, only Varric seems to have been updated. But maybe they are going to do all of the characters.

Eh, that was the first thing I did too.

Hopefully, Cassandra will be next. She and Varric are the only returning characters to become companions, after all.

Well,  can see them replacing the screenshots of the older released characters that have outdated models/graphics since the game's appearance has changed awhile now.  Cassandra is one of the 3 characters that we've known about the longest along with Varric and Vivienne.

Threesomes? Well that came out of nowhere.

 

I don't see Cassandra ever doing such a thing, if you have her than you may have no one else and vice versa. She seems like the type to treat love very seriously and wont stand for sleeping around or the such. If you do it I can see her questioning you over it and even breaking up with you if you can't somehow make good for doing what you did.
