Threesomes? Well that came out of nowhere.

I don't see Cassandra ever doing such a thing, if you have her than you may have no one else and vice versa. She seems like the type to treat love very seriously and wont stand for sleeping around or the such. If you do it I can see her questioning you over it and even breaking up with you if you can't somehow make good for doing what you did.

I'm not sure she'd even give you the chance. Cassandra seems very alpha personality, very territorial when it comes to things like this. She let you into a very private and intimate part of her emotional sphere. Admit that kind of betrayal, and I think she'd drop you like yesterday's garbage and lock the sphere up for good.

Cass: So it seems I alone am not good enough for you, Inquisitor?

Inquisitor: *rolls a 3 on Persuade check* Derp....

Cass: I suppose the best part is that Josephine and Vivienne already know what kind of man you are. Good luck convincing Sera to sleep with you. Though I'm certain the Iron Bull will respond to your desires. I hear he enjoys #$%&ing assholes.

Ok, maybe the gay pun is going a bit far, but come one, I think Cassandra would be pretty pissed. And rightly so. Ohh, and the Sera line makes me imagine Sera leading the Inquisitor on, just to toy with him to get some form of revenge for Cassandra.

Cheating!Inquisitor: Come on, Sera, you gotta admit you were curious at some point....being with a man? We can do things a woman can't....

Sera:*suppresses internal gagging* Oh, Inquisitor, I've never really thought about it....being with a big, strong man like you.....I've...never done it that way before. Promise you'll be gentle?

Inquisitor: Sure, baby, come to my room....

*The two walk down the hallway, passing by Cassandra on the way to the Inquisitor's room*

Cassandra: *evil glare*

Sera: *twirls a knife behind her back and gives Cassandra wink*

Cassandra: *evil smile as she walks away*

I doubt she reads romance novels that involves cheating or threeways, I'm sure the romance novels she reads are about True Love and 2 people eventually coming together as an item. Seems like she would be into those types of Romance Novels which is 95% The Chase and 5% They're Happy Together.

Since the only straight female love interest we have had so far in Dragon Age is Morrigan, I think it would be interesting to speculate about Cassandra's romance arc and compare her to Morrigan.

Similarities.

Like Morrigan, Cassandra would most likely be very territorial.

Like Morrigan, Cassandra would most likely not have any problems of taking charge in a relationship. In DA:O Morrigan initiates the love scene, she initiates the breakup should you choose to do so and she gives you a ring.

Like Morrigan, Cassandra would most likely have a soft romantic side. David Gaider has said that Cassandra is a closet romantic.

Differences.

Unlike Morrigan, Cassandra would most likely take romance and relationships seriously. She would not agree to casual sex or anything of the sort but once you are in with her...or should I say into her...I think you are with her and that's that.

In short

So I do not think Cassandra will be the type who is into threesomes. I don't think she is even into you openly flirting with other women once you are with her.

I mean the closest equivalent we have to her is Aveline, a butch straight woman who is very loyal, does her job really well and expects loyalty.

There was a banter between Isabela and Aveline where Isabela says that she saw Donnic going to the Blooming Rose to which Aveline gets very indignant and Isabela follows up by saying that Donnic was not there to shop for himself.

I suspect she'd like romance novels where the couple is already established and solves larger problems together. I can see the Nick and Nora mystery series appealing to her.

Cassandra and threesomes... O_o No. She is, i think, the kind of woman who takes relationships seriously and personally. With her temper, even suggesting involving someone else (or, gods help you, cheating or her) could end very terminally. I kinda like her in that regard. If you are not in a serious relationship, have all the fun you can get. But if you are in a relationship with emotions involved, you stick with your partner(s) :)

That could be the case. The core is still the same, true love and 2 individuals.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with that.

The only thing that's going to save the Inquisitor's life if they cheat on Cassandra are:

1 ) She's too formal to make a scene of it

2 ) The glowy-hand that can save them all

Her grumpiness with increase tenfold though.

Pretty good arguments and I agree for the most part.  The only thing I disagree with is that Morrigan has a soft romantic side like Cassandra.  Morrigan is definitely passionate and territorial like I imagine Cassandra to be as well but she's actually pretty naive on feelings and love.

Morrigan does have a softer side and does some romantic things if she is in a relationship with the Warden, but I don't think she ever really thought about romantic things at all and pretty much believes what Flemeth taught her on the matter.  She actually seems quite afraid of love in my opinion actually when she experiences it.

In fact, I think Morrigan's relationship with the Warden will differ greatly from the Inquisitor's relationship with Cassandra.  I think with Cassandra, it'll be a harder time to get into a romance with her with you having to earn her trust and woo her quite a bit, but once you do it'll be a bit easier to advance it to deep feelings such as love.

With Morrigan, it was the opposite where it seemed pretty easy to get into a casual sexual relationship with her but as time goes by, feelings get involved and as the relationship gets more serious, Morrigan starts having second thoughts and wanting to end things.

The only thing that's going to save the Inquisitor's life if they cheat on Cassandra are:

1 ) She's too formal to make a scene of it

2 ) The glowy-hand that can save them all

I dunno, I think she might beat the snot out of the Inquisitor first in private, especially if he cheated first.

There has been something that I've wanted to say for quite a while now about my behavior when Cassandra was announced as straight. I feel terrible for the way that I reacted to the news and I would like to apologize to everyone but especially to Allen for my response to his post that started everything. I guess a couple of posts that Maria made helped me see that I acted like a spoiled four year old.

I'm happy with Sera and Josephine and however the last two romances turn out I will be happy for the people who receive them.

Also, Guys/Gals, I think we all need a few moments to mourn DA: Inquisition's previous release date of October 7th. It has now been delayed to November the 18th.

Right on cue, everybody:

Dang it. Darth Vader NOOOOOO!!! Video doesn't want to cooperate. Give me a min. EDIT: Got it.

Thank you, sir/ma'am. Must have been wishful typing on my part. My God, 42 more days?! I know it's the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything, but come on!

I just came up with a thought: what if Cassandra is a single mother (father is regalyan whose dead)

I don't think bioware has ever a parent as a love interest. I'd love to see Cassandra as a strong single mother thats conflicted between family, duty and honor.

I do hope that Cass will be  kind of ''oldschool'' when it comes to romance, I think it would fit her character and it would be a nice change from what we had in DAO and DA2.
