Same, my canon Shep's romance. I wish she was a Squad-mate in ME3 like she was suppose to and I wished her romance in ME3 was better
She was supposed to be a squadmate?

Not that I've ever heard of and I was quite active in the Miranda fandom prior to and after ME3.
KC probably meant that she should have been a squadmate. At the very least, she could have been given a position on the ship during a fully realized Cerberus arc much like Mordin and Legion.
I know you were. I was following the Miranda thread close during ME3 development (didn't follow the ME3 forum much after release). I recall you, Ieldra, Steelcan, jtav and others from thereNot that I've ever heard of and I was quite active in the Miranda fandom prior to and after ME3.

I heard she was but EA rushed the game so they cut down on her role.
I don't recall anything like that. I might've missed it though if it was stated after release. I seriously doubt it was stated before.I heard she was but EA rushed the game so they cut down on her role.
As a man, I respectfully disagree. I overall enjoy Miranda's romance in general and her as a character, but the ass shots were very jarring and downright comical at one point.
yeah, I agree and feel the same way. The ass shots were ridiculous.

I agree 100%. I really felt her reason for not being on the Normandy was pretty flimsy. I mean it would be much easier to just go on the Normandy to have backup against Cerberus assassination attempts and ask Liara to keep track of her sister's status throughout the game to make sure she is alright.
Almost all of the other squad mates had pretty good reasons for not being on the Normandy at that point in my opinion.
Jack was a teacher of biotic students and was training them for combat.
Thane was slowly dying and was pretty much too ill to travel on the Normandy and do missions.
Mordin was treating Eve and curing the Genophage.
Legion was with the Geth and pretty much jacked into Reaper tech when the Quarians attacked the Geth.
Wrex was the leader of the Krogan people and couldn't afford to leave them for long periods of time like going on the Normandy would do.
Grunt was running his own squad of Krogan and doing missions.
Jacob rallied former Cerberus agents and was leading them while they were in hiding. He also knocked up a former Cerberus scientist.
Kasumi was in hiding but could be convinced to use her expertise to help build the crucible.
Zaeed didn't have that good of a reason I think as Shepard could have hired him to tag along if he wouldn't come along for free.
Samara was off doing Justicar things and then going to the monastary that her remaining daughters were at. She didn't meet up with Shepard until later on in ME3 at the monastary but she could've joined him after that I felt.
I apologize if this question has been asked before somewhere (and I won't be surprised if it has), but has it ever been discussed, or is there an answer of what the Nevarran accent is most akin to? I had always assumed it was German (Though I don't remember why I assumed that).
Edit: I am assuming Cassandra's accent is Nevarran.

Cassandra's accent was a blend of accents to make her sound unique.

They should do that with some of the other countries
You know, the mention of Cassandra being a mother probably isn't the way Bioware would go about it. But it's got me wondering: How do you guys think she would feel about having children? Yes, we don't know how her romance in general will go, but it makes a person wonder. This isn't the kind of female LI we normally run across. And this is a good thing. but as far as children go, there's some barriers with Cassandra.
I mean, this is a woman who spend two decades in service of the highest religious authority in the land. She's in her late 30s at the youngest, so her biological clock is hardly on its last ticks, but it's getting there. But she has been a warrior all her life, keeping her in good physical condition, so she's going to be very healthy for her age. As far as we know, she's had no intimate relationships that we are aware of(her peck on the cheek for Regalyan notwithstanding). Her piousness may mean she's the 40-year-old Virgin of Thedas, but there's no real evidence to support this. Though if anyone had the dedication to guard her virginity for 40 years, it would be Cassandra. She's also a female member of a royal family desperately in need of a worthy successor(Per the World of Thedas) If she were ever to be nominated as a claimant to the Throne of Nevarra(not an unlikely event, given her renown and position in the Inquisition), she would need to have at least one healthy child to avoid another succession crisis.
But Gaider says she's a 'closet romantic'. The idea of a family life typically goes along quite well with that. It makes me wonder if it's something she and the Inquisitor would discuss at some point. before or after the Breach is closed.
Bioware will almost certainly leave the baby-making stuff for headcannon, where it generally belongs. So...cue obligatory headcannon dialogue(written with a pious Inquisitor in mind)
Scene: In bedroom, post-coitus. The Breach and all immediate threats to Thedas vanquished, peace has come, for now.
Inquisitor: Cassandra, have you ever thought about having children?
Cassandra: *long pause* A long time ago. But I gave up that dream when I entered the service of the Divine.
Inquisitor: But didn't you want them? The Maker says 'Be fertile and multiply, for so you have been given dominion over the world, so you shall populate it'
Cassandra: *sad smile* My duty to the Divine was greater. I never had time for anything else. And as I grew older, the chances seemed less and less that I would ever have time for a family. And I was content.
Inquisitor: *pause* Was? Meaning you are not content now?
Cassandra: *sigh* I swore I would never have a child with a man I did not love. I had many cousins who did that. And their children are now miserable, unhappy, ignored by both of their parents. Any children I would have had to be treasured as true gifts of the Maker, by both myself and the man I love.
Inquisitor: And now?
Cassandra: *turns to gaze at the Inquisitor's eyes, her eyes neither afraid nor sad* Now, I know I have found the man I never wish to be parted from. And I also know that our paths are guided by His hand. If He should bless us with a child, I will thank the Maker for it until the day I go to His side. And if He does not, I will accept it as His will, and never question His wisdom.
Inquisitor: *leans in, his forehead on hers* But do you pray for it?
Cassandra: *her widened eyes at last betraying her emotion* Every day.
Inquisitor: *widening smile* Well, as one of the brothers used to say to me when I did my prayers at the local Chantry as a child, "Prayer to the Maker must be accompanied by action, or faith is dead"
Cassandra: *Confused eyebrows*
Inquisitor: So, if we truly wish for the Maker to bless us with a child....*leans in to whisper seductively in her ear* then we must give Him every opportunity to do so. *Begins to kiss her neck lustfully*

I'm hope they don't go down the desperately wanting baby route. I want her to be a confident career woman who has made conscious choice not to have children.
It is her choice, true, but if she doesn't have a child it will cause issues for her Family Name when she finally dies - Naturally or Unnaturally.
So the issue should be addressed at some point since an adoption wouldn't work as there are plenty of opportunistic out there that would push forth the claim that an adopted child has no right to the Family Name, Holdings, Wealth, or the such.

Even career woman can have children.

I said a career woman who has made conscious choice not to have children
I didn't imply there aren't career women who make conscious choice to have them.
Cassandra is a distant relative of these noble families. She is not a princess, just a member of a clan. And she as far as we know never wanted to be a part of the ruling family and all this high society Mumbo-Jumbo. While she is not a princess, she is in the line of succession to the throne. She was a noble with all the finery and politics that goes with it before joining the Seekers and all the claimants to the Throne of Nevarra are distant relatives except for the king's direct brother, they is no other direct heir.
Also, Nevarrans love heroes has kings and they seem to have a bit of elective monarchy going as well. That of course, doesn't mean Cassandra is interested in the throne.
I do hope we get to talk with her about Nevarra.
Cassandra's accent was a blend of accents to make her sound unique.
That's just the politically correct way of saying she couldn't nail one accent perfectly...*I tease, I tease*

She's still of nobility and a member of such a grand name, she also has some really mighty accomplishments under her belt as well. Would really need to know more of her family and the candidates currently in place since the good of all could involve Cassandra taking a more direct hand in family matters and ensuring an heir that isn't crazy.
@The Elder King
The anime made it look like she was in a village, she even call it that from what I remember, but Redcliff is a village too and there is a huge castle right beside it... Saying that, I think that Nevarra is Sparta.
I do hope we get to talk with her about Nevarra.
Gaider said she talks a bit about their "death belief" in his interview with LadyInsanity, so she will talk about Nevarra. How much is the question.
I wonder who would be the better tank, Cass or Aveline, huh, welp guess I'll continue to ponder on this until the game arrives in Nov.
