Yeah but then that makes them more limited, I'm cool with them being gender gated but why add more restrictions? I'd expected the Bi LIs to be gender gated. If Cullen and Cassandra are race gated then I see them both being unavailable to Qunari Inquisitors.

There are 8 romances. The developers probably feel comfortable tailoring each one to the companion.

If Cassandra won't love you, then there's Josephine or Sera, and possibly Vivienne.

Sorry but seems more logical if they both are race gated. Trust me, I don't won't either of them to be race gated.

That would be just tops.  I never play as humans in RPGs if I have a say in the matter, so that would make me giggle with delight. 

But....I have a feeling they won't make the only straight romance option for males race gated.  That would be....not cool.  Not cool in the slightest.

I know I would. But seriously are there actual story reasons as to why Cassandra could be race gated? I notice some have named Cassandra next to Cullen or Vivienne (if she is a LI) to be very likely to be race gated and I'm curious as to why.

I can't see any reason why she would be.  If she turns out to be race gated against qunari I'm going to be the one on here exploding with outrage!

She's still the most promoted Companion, other than Varric, and will be a key part to the story. This isn't like Isabela whom you could have pretty much ignored almost entirely if you wanted.

 

They wont make us forget as she has been in practically all the gameplay vids and will be in the trailers and such for the game's promotion. 

 

Cullen doesn't really make sense as Race-Gated as he has been shown to be attracted to Human and Elven Females. He hasn't really been shown to discriminate against Dwarves or the Qunari in DAII when we last saw him either.

Actually race gating doesn't mean that a character is limited to just one race.  For example, everyone thought Iron Bull was going to be for everyone but dwarves.  

 

If Cullen is race gated, then i think it would be just race gated from Qunari and Dwarves for example and I don't think it would be based on religious reasons really though for Cullen not being available to Qunari could make sense as he did have bad experiences in the past with them just like Varric.  I think if Cullen is race gated from Qunari and Dwarves then it would be based on his physical preferences in women.

 

Personally, I'm thinking if Varric is a love interest, then he is going to be for dwarven females only.
