Well, given that that's a ridiculous strawman, I didn't feel the need to respond to that directly. If you demand such, I've always been interested in romance, but no, romance options aren't the only characters I've cared about.

I honestly doubt that anyone in this thread considers her romance to be Cassandra's defining quality. It's more of an optional perk, and topic for discussion.

It's possible. Mr.Gaider already said that the reason they made her straight was because they were writing a sepcific type of romance for her. This means that they already gave priority to the storyline over making her acessible to as many players as possible. Thus, it is not impossible that they want to write a really, really specific type of romance and thus would restrict her further.
This is not, necessarely, a bad thing. It can be disappointing to not be able to romance her with the character you were hoping to create; I know I'll be sad if she is race-gated against humans; but it could also mean that her romance will be really deep.
I imagine it would be harder to write something deep and nuanced when the character can be romanced by humans, dwarves, elves and qunari of either gender. You'd have to adapt it to every type of Inquisitor which would leave little room for other types of romantic interaction.

I hope with her being part of a dragon hunting family, we should get some extra content from her.
Will we be able to discuss with her in great depth about dragons, about species of dragons, about dragon weaknesses ?
Will we be able to let her lead the charge when going dragon hunting ?
I mean, it makes sense that someone who has killed dragons and are part of a dragon hunting family to know lots about dragons...

It'd be hilarious if she had a uniquely disappointed reaction upon returning to the HQ if you killed a dragon without her. Like you said, that is kind of her thing.
