Fair enough. I won't ask why.

I like the actress though. It's Sigrun. Just tell me you like her and we're cool. ;)

One of my disappointments for DA:I is that they're getting rid of (or lessening) the companion quests. I thought these worked well in DA II or ME 2. I find myself wondering what Cassandra's would have been.

I thought Mr.Gaider said they're dialing it down to DA:O level i.e. having one 'development arc' per character, as opposed to one per act like DA2 had? That still leaves room for the companion quests as part of the experience, and wouldn't be too different from ME2.

(and while at it, half of the ME2 cast having family issues and everyone requiring Shepard to sort out some personal mess of theirs got really old really quick)

Wait, what? Where was that said? And how can they do that? Aren't companions and their quests basically a staple of BioWare games?

That just dampened a lot of my enthusiasm for DA:I, if true. :\ Balls.

It was said a long time ago, but like tmp7704 said, what he meant is that the game won't have "one companion quest per act" like in DA2. They had to do a choice in development because of time restriction and being able to talk to companions almost everywhere won over "more companion quests".

There will be companions arcs in the game, that haven't been removed.

They took up too many zots. People would prefer to mostly chat with their companions like in DA:O.

Right hand of the Divine is an honorary title.

She was a Seeker, The closest thing the Chantry has to a wetworks squad.

And they preform that role in the lore as well.

I was just pointing out that the title Right hand of the Divine is honorary. It doesn't come with a job description.

She get to do "wetwork" because she is a Seeker, not because she received the honor of being Right hand of the Divine.

She got the title for being good at it, she got her current gig along with the title.

Its all tied together.

Ah, okay. That doesn't sound so bad. As long as the companions get major screentime, and I can feel like I'm developing relationships with them as my PC, that's all I really want. I actually rather liked the DA:O system of being able to talk to them whenever, instead of having to return to a specific place to have a conversation with them.

I googled it myself because I wanted to read it as well. I'm not sure if this is what Maria and Elu were speaking about specifically but it seems to cover it.

Ultimately, the content for followers is being re-shuffled once again--the default investigate dialogue is re-appearing, so there is conversation to be had with a follower even when they don't have a big cinematic scene awaiting, and that comes at the expense of the extra personal plots as was in DA2. Also gone are the alerts, in part because we felt the agency comment was fair and in part because it's no longer necessary (for mechanical reasons)...and also because the player will likely be getting more than enough quests anyhow, they don't need more added onto their list just to go talk to someone (who they may not even wish to talk to, for all we know).

The total amount of content, as in the actual amount of writing that goes into an individual follower and the amount of interaction you have with them over the course of the game, is the same in DAO as in DA2 as it will be in DAI.
