I actually meant like the style
I know. I was just giving an ingame example of Qunari wearing more than shoulder pads. The woven armor seems to be their thing.

That is my opinion. I give the roleplaying aspect of an RPG primacy. For instance, I installed a mod that makes DA2 Grey Warden armors available to DAO and that is what my Warden and Alistair carry around the whole game.
Except in Denerim before the Landsmeet because we are in the heart of Loghain's power and he has declared Grey Wardens traitors to Ferelde so, when I go to Denerim, I put nondescript armor because I'm trying to go unnoticed by the guards.
I once headcanon'd that the reason the Warden and Alistair didn't get the armor because the other wardens didn't have time to make them with blight going on ![]()
Bioware has said there is a point in the game where it will be nearly impossible to complete as a Qunari.
My money is on socializing at the ball at Halamshiral if winning the hearts and minds of the nobles earns you an achievement.
I imagine a human noble would have troubles earning the trust of Briala's elves.
Most of these variations may be window dressing; after all, I could earn the allegiance of the elves as easily as a Human Noble as I could as a Dalish Elf; and I would not be opposed to race playing a more important role, but isn't that the whole point of choosing a different race? People reacting to your in different ways?
We'll see. I'm also not going to simply accept a rumor about racial abilities just yet, but unless they make the races actually seem distinct on the battlefield, it's not much of a justification for adding 3 extra races. As far as I'm concerned it's just playing as one of three varieties of outsider, which doesn't need to extend to every facet of the game, and go so far as to limit you in romances... we barely have enough to go around as it is, and we still don't have female dwarves or qunari at all. I just don't see why other races have to settle for someone outside their race and one of those limited options might be eliminated in advance due to race gating.
I don't want to keep going off topic though... but I guess it applies to Cassandra since she's one of two female companion LIs that's been confirmed.
If 8 full romance arcs counts as "barely enough to go around" now, what would be a sufficient number?
I am obviously talking about per potential Inquisitor, not all potential Inquisitors... jeez...
You get, at minimum, two choices. The same you've gotten in every other DA game.
Besides, nobody said Cassandra should be restricted to humans. We were just making the point that race-gating is possible because they have already confirmed her heterossexuality is a result of her writer working on a very specific type of romance and that thus, since they've already shown proof of placing storyline above availability, it's possible that, depending on just how specific her romance will be, she could also be race-gated.

Okay, fair enough... it's not like I play these games specifically for the romance. I just think it's an odd choice, but if involving other races conflicts with a storyline that they'd already been working on and creating content for, I can understand that.
Regardless of all that, I'm looking forward to seeing her in action... she's been absent from the recent gameplay videos, unfortunately. What really has me curious is her specialization, but I guess there's no point in wild speculation since the game is months off...

I noticed this on the Blackwall thread and figured it would be a neat idea for this one.
What type of underwear do you all think Cass wears?
Just so Bioware can throw us off about her, a thong

That would be so hot.
The main focal point of videogames will vary from person to person. Maybe some will tell you that interactivity requires our character to behave in ways proper to the lore and to have the world react to it in ways that make sense according to the same lore.
Personally, I could never play a Mage Hawke because it felt like he was just some toy I was walking around the world precisely because the rules of the world didn't apply to it. I wasn't interacting with the world, it was bending its rules to make gameplay easier which I didn't appreciate.

Bold emphasis is mine, but I want to call it out.
What is considered "essential" for a video game varies from person to person. We all have our reasons for why we like to play games, and while there's plenty of overlap, I don't want people coming in and snarking at people for liking different things, so please stop.
(Just to be clear, this isn't an issue I have with your post MisterJB, you just said what I was already planning on saying and wanted to piggy back off of it).

lol That be funny
Cassandra will wear dragonskin bikini and thong.
It makes more sense after all with her dragon hunting family heritage. ![]()
Race gating is rasist. My dwarf is not good enough for humans?
Not unless he grows another couple of feet. If a woman doesn't want to go out with me for being shorter than her, I don't call her heightist.
Race gating is rasist. My dwarf is not good enough for humans?
I think it's a bit unfair to call someone a racist for not being attracted to non-humans...
Perhaps she goes commando, twist!
Yes, but being a Thedosian she puts on some big ol' granny bloomers for sexy times, as is the custom in Thedas.
Everyone, what if her armor is her underwear? ![]()
