The Inquisitor is probably going to close a fade tear , maybe the one where the blast happened.

Spoiler

That would explain why Cassandra petitions the main character for assistance. You could be right. I suppose the story may also end up explaining what makes the protagonist so unique; I'm sure Cassandra must have questions about that as well.

I actually am getting a Miranda vibe from all this.

I doubt Cass is going to have Mirianda's daddy issues.

'Fraid I have some bad news on the Cass front every one.  Check the Sad Ending for Romance Option thread.   I think I am going to lie down.

Your legs must get tired with all that leaping to conclusions you do. :P

In all seriousness, it's DA. I expect various flavors of bittersweet.

It's pretty clear the devs are trying to tell us that when we click the  <3 button for Cass, Agent Smith will appear and laugh at us, in person.

Or Miranda's superiority complex

I can see her having some. There are a few moments in DotS that gives the vibe that Cassandra either doesn't get along with her father or just doesn't know him. Her fixation on her brother, she never mention her parents and Byron being her father figure (they totally had a father/daughter relationship *sniff*).

You expected a good ending to a romance with Cassandra?

Or Miranda's superiority complex

Humanity is superior, in both ME and DA to all other forms of life.

It is not a superiority complex to acknowledge this fact.

Yes?

For once in her life, something should actually go right.

And why shouldn't I?  Wait, was she in the books or something?  Cuz I haven't read those.

No, Dawn of the Seeker.

The Animated Movie Bioware released a few years ago and assuming you haven't seen that as well...well to sum it up.

She has had such a sad and troubled life, Blood Magic killed her brother, She was exposed to the corruption and vileness of the very orders she swore herself to...the evils of magic and mages, she has had a tough and bloody life well before the Inquisitor ever came into it.

It is a superiority complex when one claims that he or she is superior to all others when he or she is NOT superior to all others.

Miranda is NOT superior to all others, so she has a superiority complex.

Cassandra has not displayed such a personality trait, so she doesn't appear to have a superiority complex like Miranda (with whom others were comparing Cassandra).

Miranda is NOT superior to all others, so she has a superiority complex.

She is Human and therefore superior to every one else that isn't human, that's my point.

She has a superiority complex, but that's only in so far as other humans go.

Pfft, is that all?  I saw that movie and that was nothing.  If this was, say, the MGS series and we were talking about Snake or something, there'd be some weight to this argument but that animated movie was a picnic in terms of portraying a woman's troubled life.  Besides, the movie ends on pretty happy note, relatively speaking.

Make one offhand comment that Cass and the Inquisitor remind you of the Shepard and Miranda dynamic...

Wait, so going by your logic harkin, a deadbeat, corrupt cop, is superior to say, garrus, someone who helps save the galaxy, because harkin is human and garrus isn't?

Or was he?

In all seriousness though, I am a fan of bittersweet endings myself, but I think giving the option to the player how it ends speaks volumes rather than it being set in stone. But it all depends on what type of story BW goes for and how they want it to end along with said characters.

Just saw the video and it looks like Cassandra blames us for the Breach and then ask us for help.

From squinting at the words, it seems like after the Inquisitor says "and now you want my help." Cassandra replies with "demand it."

Or something along the lines of that, at least.

._. Seeing Your Brother decapitated by a blood mage during childhood isn't erm an emotionally stabilizing an event, just putting that out there.
