Does blood magic involve the dead like necromancy? I thought it only involved live blood.

Maybe new abilities could off-set that. But I wouldn't want to be a blood mage in DAI because you can only have 1 spec and I like the Rift mage better.

I always figured there was a difference , a Necromancer raises and controls the undead/corpse via there own willpower not by bringing and binding a demon to the corpse. so it wouldn't be blood magic , its Entropy / Spirit.
In the Leading the way video Cassandra say something like:

I know this has probably already been discussed tenfold, but isn't it going to be a little awkward with Varric + her when they tortured/captured/kidnapped him presumably in DA2.
I get the impression due to their "violent history" there might be some difficulties, but as individuals they get along.
Could be completely wrong though.
I think Varric will get his revenge on Cassandra by annoying her whenever he can. He is part of team 'last nerve' after all. Gonna drive her right up the wall.

And Cass is likely going to be beating Varric upside the head with the flat of her blade when no one is looking in retribution as well.
