I don't understand. You saw an idiot on Tumblr and were surprised? ![]()
Seriously though, I think there was a discussion about another such idiot a few pages back. I hope it's not spreading.

That might be the same person. Even still, I know people are stupid on Tumblr sometimes, but damn.

It's Tumblr
When I saw 'whitewash', I expected a still from that one trailer where her hair was randomly white back in the pre-DA2 release days.

I actually thought she looked kinda cool with the white hair.

Lalalala, I can't hear you!

It was definitely striking. While I prefer her with the black, I wouldn't've complained if she had white.
@Maria, it's funny cause, I'm a fan of both Cass and Cullen...
This thread is useful for looking for things like this: http://forum.bioware...rs-post-thread/I googled it myself because I wanted to read it as well. I'm not sure if this is what Maria and Elu were speaking about specifically but it seems to cover it.
No, the main difference between DAO and DA2 conversations with the party members was the lack of random questions-- being able to to ask the character questions about their past or about the lore.
The full conversations-- as in the ones that actually progressed their plots or relationships, were gated (mostly by approval level). DA2 had more content on the plot side, as in the one plot per act (as opposed to DAO, which simply had one short plot per party member), though I think the perception of many people is that those plots were simply quests and not really "part" of the character's interactions.
We sort of hit a middle ground in DAI. There are the random questions you can ask the party member, similar to DAO, and we're down to one plot again (which is part of their development arc). They have the full conversations which are primarily gated by event, as mentioned (though these depend on the player seeking them out, usually-- no more missions demanding you seek the party member out).
You still cannot talk to them anywhere in the world (there's not even the option to click on them outside of "safe" areas), but there are certain conversations that can initiate elsewhere, depending on whether they're present.

lmfao, from tumblr I could expect this.
The place where Cass and Varric were, was kind of dark, how they did come up with the conclusion she was dark skinned? Smfh, some people.
Tumblr can be so obnoxious sometimes.

I have actually seen "Cassandra was whitewashed" comment that date back from Dawn of the Seeker previews.
I'm personally surprised that nobody raised concern when DA2 was released, she is "white" skinned in the ending cinematic after all.

A lot of people don't finish games. I've let a fair few slide if they lose my interest.
in the demo for da 2, she had white hair... was really surprised when i saw the opening cutscene and they had changed it
First time we saw Cassandra she had black hair (including in concept art), then at some point they changed it for white/silvery for the DA2 trailer and back to black for the release of DA2.
I'm still wondering why, going by how much effort BioWare puts into their character design there must have been a reason behind it. Was she suppose to be way older or was it more like Fenris: a magical "experiment/fight" gone wrong? Or maybe she really do have white hair and dye them so people don't ask questions?

Well... There was already a mod to whitewash Isabela in Dragon Age 2. That is bound to vindicate a certain amount of paranoia on the part of some fans.
But, Bioware has never shown itself to whitewash any of their characters. Nor any other gaming company I can recall at the moment. Such a stunt is bad for business.
Removed some posts. While it's free to disagree (I also disagree) with things other people say in other parts of the internet, but I'd prefer to not use this thread (or forum) as a springboard for attacking other people on other sites.
The upside isn't as high as potential downside IMO.
Thanks.
at the behest of my dear friend Tash, I declare the following:
Anyone that Cassandra romances that is not me, I will eliminate from my party. I will willingly share myself but I refuse to share my Nevarran Queen. ![]()
