So I finally watched Dawn of the Seeker. I enjoyed it.

 

Cassandra and Regalyan were really adorable together, so I would be totally fine with it if she ends up with him in DA:i if you don't romance her.

So I finally watched Dawn of the Seeker. I enjoyed it.

 

Cassandra and Regalyan were really adorable together, so I would be totally fine with it if she ends up with him in DA:i if you don't romance her.

 

I just love how the priestesses are all fangirling over Cassandra during the first meeting with the Divine, when the High Seeker explains she the one who took down the drake. They're like "Did she (aka the Grand Cleric) said Pentaghast?" and "Ooooh, she's so young!". Made me laugh.

 

Also, golden laurel crown. So orlesian.

Dawn of the Seeker is about like the Stolen Throne, it happened so long ago that the ripples from it ended long ago.

 

That Cass is an LI speaks volumes of that.

She doesn't seem the type to take them, or at least not what i gathered, she has needs as a woman though certainly so who knows.

 

She seems dedicated to her duty above all, and Seekers for the most don't seem the type to let their own wants factor into their lives.

I tend to assume that Cassandra did have a love life of some kind prior to DAI, considering she's in her late thirties or early forties.  That love life may not have had much depth, but there's nothing known about her that excludes the idea that she's had a boyfriend at one time or another.

From my experience on the subject, when you are devoted to an organization that will send you all over the world to accomplish tasks for them, it tends to prevent roots from forming, Had she been just a Templar or Soldier, i could see the possibility, but She is a Seeker. They Travel and move constantly, Their duties are expansive and time consuming, i honestly would believe her if she told the Inquisitor that she hadn't been in a relationship for decades.

Oh boy, a discussion about Cassie's love life over the past 20 years. Definitely haven't had that conversation before....

 

I really hope that Bioware just keeps it ambivalent. Those of us who want the 40-year-old Virgin of Thedas get our wish. And those of us who want her to be a little more experienced can headcanon Regalyan-like affairs to out heart's content.

 

Course, I still fall under the 40-year-Virgin camp. Mostly because Bioware hasn't tried to tackle that sort of angle in a LI yet. The previous LIs who slanted that way(Alistair, Merril and Liara and Tali) were (for their species)young, and had little time or personal inclination to gain that kind of experience. I'd love it to see a LI who had plenty of time, as well as a desire on a certain level, but felt a call to focus on other things they considered more important than their own personal gratification.

 

The idea of that kind of character learning to slow down and focus on themselves for a little while could be an interesting dynamic.

 

Edit: Also, having known several people who waited many years(an in until their mid-30s) before 'doing the deed' not because they never had the chance, but because they had made a decision to wait for the right person, I'd like that kind of thing to be represented. It's not as uncommon as some people think, and I consider it quite admirable.

Eh I hope such conversations with Cass of this personal nature aren't brought up in game, I don't need to know these things about her private life. I don't need to know these things about any of my companions love lives. Just keep me alive Cass that's all I need!
