Cass can bash down an iron gate single-handedly.

And that definitely isn't her bosom, either.

Yeah, but that uses the core muscles and thighs more than the arms.

It's a nice pic but I do agree Cass' arms should look much stronger and toned, I reckon too many got distracted by the bewbs to notice. :P

I do look forward to seeing Joephine and Cassandra interact.  I just hope I have some popcorn handy when they do.

With Joesphine's stature, I fear Cassandra will be left at a disadvantage on a verbal level. Not that Cass wouldn't put up a formidable fight, but with Josephine I think there is more than meets the eye.

Almost certainly.  Joephine may not have Cassandra's martial prowess, but that doesn't mean she's any less formidable.

Yeah, seeing as how Antivan women are not allowed to enter into physical combat, and Cassandra is basically the human manifestation of ''physical combat'', I imagine they may have some interesting conversations. Like fire and ice.

Isn't interesting how they differ in treating their nobility?

Neverra produces a warrior, and Antiva a politician.

Those are cultural differences though i suppose, Neverra is a warrior state, like Orlais, While Antiva revolves around coin and trade.

Those sorts of cultural differences don't really exist in the real world, except in the extraordinarily rare cases of total state-orchestrated indoctrination and development. The only time I'd really credit a "warrior state" as having existed in recorded history would be Sparte. Even then, Sparte didn't necessarily produce competent or skilled soldiers and leaders - only ones that were highly trained in specific, almost idiosyncratic facets of warmaking.

The "warfare/trade" dichotomy winds its way through historiography from the classical West onward: Sparte/Athens, Rome/Qarthadast, Aragon/Castile, France/Britain, Germany/Britain...in every case, it is the result of an extraordinarily one-sided set of evidence and spurious generalizations, not a realistic depiction of culture.

Which doesn't really prevent it from being used in this particular case by BioWare's writers, but I have a higher opinion of them than that, since they've previously busted those particular tropes before in this very IP.

Yeah, they really don't.

But i think it works fairly well in DA what with the Antivan Monarchy being too weak to actually found an armed forces and being reliant upon the various Merchant Princes and Assassin's for national defense. Though admittedly Antivan culture is all but absent from the game apart from a handful of codex's, a few mentions in the WOT and finally from conversations with  Zevran the elf, So to me until its further expanded upon, We really can't comment upon a depiction of culture, because a depiction of culture hasn't been presented yet.

I'd just label Antiva as a trade state until further notice, because its centralized focus from everything presented thus far, seems to be trade related, they export assassins, their trade routes bring them massive wealth, the people in charge of trade have more power then actual nobility, etc, etc. Reminds me a bit of 16th century Venice.

In so far as their primary focus being trade and having rich trade routes.

How do you know, without a doubt, how muscular Cassandra is?  ;)

Easy question!
The state of your body is a reflection of your personality.

Cassandra is a tough, strong-willed independent hot-tempered woman who also happens to be a fighter.

I'm sure she doesn't spend her little free time with pilates or watching Saturday morning cartoons. No, I'm sure she spends every free minute on honing her sword fighting skills and exercise to stay in shape.
Oh, and reading romance novels of questionable quality during exercise breaks to increase.....motivation. ^_^

Well, to be fair she didn't look that muscular or toned in that movie of her's.  Her thighs in particular looked pretty roundish and devoid of definition.

I reckon if I was to liken her body type to someone it would be similar perhaps to Jessica Ennis

Spoiler

Not too big and bulky, but well developed, toned, physically at her peak of fitness. She is a warrior after all, she would be strong.

You know, being muscular is not ''manly'' because nowadays 99.5% of men aren't muscular at all.

She is Cassandrular.

Or just a fit person.
