This might sound like a stupid question, But why is Cass using a shield?

I feel rather silly having made the assumption due to the 'movie', 'DA:Heros' and some concept art, that she was a two-handed Sword type of warrior. when in DA2 she didn't have any weapons on her, (bar book stabby knife).

She's been know to use both styles

bahahahaha

You can laugh. But I've seen people with 'perfect' bodies walk around like glorified zombies, and people that could hardly count their looks as assets have their pick of partners because they were outgoing, funny, had a nice smile, were really sweet, or were great conversationalists.

IMO, it's personality that wins over beauty any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

To link this to the topic, some of my Inquisitors may not end up liking Cassandra's personality, but there's no way anybody can say she doesn't have one. That's the best part about Bioware characters is that they have interesting personalities, with a few exceptions(*cough* Jacob *cough*). I could care less how Cassandra looks in the game. What's more important is how her voice actress delivers her lines, how the animators make her move and react in cutscenes, and how the writers write her character and her dialogue.

Yeah, proper legs, but that has never been BW's problem. She has terrible noodle arms, not even a trace of chest muscles and no shoulders whatsoever, and I haven't seen her swinging swords with her legs. Thats the physique you get when you do nothing but leg exercises, making you look like an ostrich. ( which is sadly extremely common among female gym rats, nowadays. )

I dunno, I think she looks fine.  Could they have given female Hawke's body a bit more muscle definition?  Sure but overall, she's fine in size.  Women generally don't get bulging muscles from exercising.  Not only that but if it was a woman in real life, you may see some muscle bulging/definition when she was flexing her arms or lifting something heavy.

Cassandra doesn't appear to have well-defined arm muscles.

Spoiler

I'm thinking she is going to have some muscle definition due to her training as a warrior but she's not going to have big bulging muscles.  I think some people expect her to be completely ripped like a body builder which is not going to happen.

Though I remember them saying some daggers can be as long as swords

This is good news. I'll definitely roll a Rogue now.

Another thought I had: Solas has bulkier arms than Cassandra in that picture.

Sadly.

Or at least i would like to have an option to have a ripped protagonist. Men should not be the only ones with the muscles.

As I'd like to have a lean, toned body for my human mage.
As long as we won't have body sliders I doubt we'll see either.

They aren't?

Even back in Original the Female and Male PC's had muscular definition.

And that should be the end of this off subject derailment.

Hawke (hello there lady  ) has a fairly good body, especially her legs. The only problem she had were the arms... they needed to be a lil more bigger, esp the shoulders.

BW needs to have a lil diversity in bodies, for example a mage wouldn't need any muscles, a fit, strong body for a rogue and some muscles for the warrior.

At least her body is better than Shepard *shudders*

It's something you'll never have to worry about, being a man and all so enjoy the fantasy. The reality is far from ideal.

No. They didn't have muscles. The only female who had proper muscles was Aveline.

Explain why my Female Noble had a outline of a muscular stomach then, Anyway i'm not arguing this.

It's off topic, pointless and all personal taste.

I don't know about anyone else but I love women with abs, some of my favorite creations have athletic toned bodies which suits the kind of activity they're involved in.

I'm not talking about the abs. I'm talking about the arms.

Look at Aveline and then compare this body to other female protags.

I wasn't bothered by female Hawke's musculature. You have to take in mind that Hawke could be a rogue or a mage as well, who would probably have much more lean strength.
