Aveline looks like a woman who kicks ass for a living.  And guess what?  Cassandra's also a major player in the ass kicking business.

I'm not talking about the abs. I'm talking about the arms.

Look at Aveline and then compare this body to other female protags.

Aveline is beautiful...

The Jedi has a point i suppose, It wouldn't have made much sense for isabella or Merril or Bethany to have a six pack and shoulders the size of mine.

I wasn't bothered by female Hawke's musculature. You have to take in mind that Hawke could be a rogue or a mage as well, who would probably have much more lean strength.

And yet male Hawkes were ripped.

Doesn't make sense for Anders or mage/rogue Hawkes either.

Just like how the Male Hawke was obviously suited to be a warrior at base given how broad and strong it comes off as.

Despite him possibly being a rogue or Mage.

It works both ways.

That's why companions now are supposedly getting unique body types :P

Aveline does have some pretty muscular arms,it sort of reminds me of Mary a bit.

Note that they are about the same size as Female Hawke's arms as well.  The only difference is in muscle definition.  The big thing is that DAO and DA2 didn't have a body slider so you couldn't pick a skinny body or a ripped body and choose which one you want.

I've seen that picture a lot already, And i have and to be honest they look near the same size, it's perspective based on distance to my eye.

Alright, I'll concede that it's a little too difficult to say who has the bulkier arms.

However, there is still only minimal difference between them as far as we know, which suggests one or more of several possibilities.

1. Perhaps Cassandra's training has been lax in recent years, stemming from her self-doubt (which was revealed in her character profile by Gaider).

2. Perhaps Cassandra relies more upon mental fortitude than strength in combat, pushing herself to AND beyond the limit mentally while she physically decays.

3. Perhaps these are simply placeholder body models.

4. Perhaps BioWare's more interested in making Cassandra's body look "pretty" than reflecting her class.

Maybe we should wait until we see what's underneath the armor before we make that call, i'm expecting tone.

Maybe, but to whose standard of beauty?

I'm almost certain that BW went with a completely generic Fem-NPC body model for Cass, I'd bet a good amount of money on that.

Biowares.

Conventional standards. Muscular women tend to be seen as unattractive. I'm not saying this is true of all, or even most Cassandra fans, but cultural beauty norms are pretty restricting.

._. Are you a fairly new Bioware fan?

If so i might need to direct you to Baldurs Gate.

A lot of their female romances were erm...Not conventional standard at all.

Neither have Dragon Age's come to think of it.

Though admittedly none of the female's in Dragon Age thus far have scars where their throat was slit so far

Maybe that's the reason for her body in-universe (the "conventional" standards of beauty in Thedas/Nevarra/Orlais). She apparently has her long hair in a ponytail wrapped around the back of her head. I mean, she could have easily just cut it off.

Personally, I'm more inclined to believe that her physicality is influenced by her character (a dedicated, loyal theist suddenly forced to reexamine her worldview).

femshep body model was a joke..she looked ridicules carrying some of the heavier guns.( yes I know you could head cannon it away with the Cerberus implants) but the fact is they were just ****** lazy. At least femhawke had a RL model base.

Yuuup, i personally prefer small to medium. Big ones aren't my thing really. Anything big is overrated anyway.

Man, BSN has some hipster like opinions.

I don't mind breast sizes on women much these days.

Though admittedly small and big both advantages, as such things go.

But this really is a distracting thing, like the muscle issue ._.

I blame the lack of information, if we had something to gossip about, we wouldn't be here discussing things no one cares about.
