Yeah, there would need to be some feedback.

In the Crestwood demo, it was obvious Varric was unhappy with your decision to leave the village to it's fate. I believe Cassandra and Vivienne said something about it being necessary.  I would expect my relationship to take a hit with Varric but not Cassandra/Vivienne.  I'm not sure if I can say you get positive approval with Cassandra/Vivienne in that case...just might be no change.

I'm thinking Cassandra will disapprove saving the village over the keep at first but if you manage to do both, then she'll appreciate your decision.  I.E. I'm thinking more like a -10 to saving the village at first but if you save both the village and the keep successfully, she'll give you a +20 approval bonus for doing so successfully.

I think something like this would work well with her characterization of being pretty pragmatic but also being a closet romantic.

As for Vivienne, I'm thinking she's going to be more cold and ruthless about it and is more about focusing on the objective.  Even if you manage to save both, she'll probably just say that you were lucky.

Varric always struck me as a good guy so he'll always be against the more pragmatic/ruthless kind of choices.

By the way, what did Bioware meant when they said you can gain Cassandra's romantic approval by doing seeker stuff ? Isn't the Seeker organization disbanded ? What do they mean ? Help Cassandra stab stuff ?

Collect and recover the finest romance novels in all of Thedas, or make Varric write new ones. So many possibilities!

No, The Seeker organization's mandate was to punish corrupt templars and kill apostates.

Both of those still exist.

Just that ? I mean the organization is known as the Seekers of Truth. I thought that Seekers would spend their time exploring and uncovering lost artifacts, writings to be brought back to be studied by the Chantry.

I mean their symbol is the all seeing eye and I thought they would do some other forms of investigating as well..

Oh well...

By the way, anyone here has any idea how old Cassandra is ? Is she in her 30s or 40s or 50s ? I saw a post somewhere on the forums that she is in her 50s. Just would like to clarify that.

She's in her late thirties to early forties.  The events in Dawn of the Seeker took place twenty years before DAI.

I would say 42 at the oldest.

She was a late teenager or in her early 20s in Dawn of the Seeker, which takes place 18-20 years before Inquisition.

The Seekers are supposed to root out corruption and protect common folk from magic, demons, any other forces that would do them harm. Cassandra is very blunt, and doesn't try to hide who she is and what she wants behind false pretenses and is a romantic deep down inside.

Remember how she was impressed by Hawke facing the Arishok in single combat to save his friend and the whole of Kirkwall? That's "Seeker stuff". I get the impression that she prefers an Inquisitor who tackles problems head on instead of relying of subterfuge and dishonesty to achieve their goals.

Now that they revealed the backstory I hope we won't see much of the human Inquisitors family.  it says you are the youngest of five children. We can still roll play our Inquisitor as older. As long as you don't have a bunch of brothers and sister showing up that look younger than you.  I really don't want to romance Cassandra as a fresh faced 20 year old.  When I do get around to my human playthrough.

I am guessing she won't like my Inquisitor very much. I plan to be a mix of diplomacy and saboteur. I also will try to save the Keep and the village in cases like Crestwood.

I know I am a sucker for peace and saving everyone or at least trying to...

Nah, you don't have to worry. Cassandra is not your average 40 year old woman. She is quite fit and athletic. So age won't be that much of a concern.

Just think of it as Liara and Male Shepard romance or Samara and Male Shepard romance. There is a few decades / centuries age gap there but those two are not your normal women.

Naw I don't mean there is anything wrong with that.  It's just not something I personally want to do.  Not only romance but the story of Inquisition just seems to work better with an older protagonist.  At least for me.  I want my Inquisitor to be 40 to 50 ish.

I think you can add some lines to their faces. Make them have beards, change their hair to look greyish....There are plenty of things you can do to make your Inquisitor look older...

Speaking of old Inquisitors...Now I have the urge to make an Inquisitor that looks like Blackwall...

Cassandra can be at her mid 30s at the earliest actually.  It depends on how old she is in Dawn of the Seeker, though I'm leaning towards her being more towards her being in the upper 30s.

You can make the Inquisitor look as old as you want to, but if you run into your 25 year old older brother in one of the quests(who looks like a 25 year old), it'll be completely immersion breaking for some people.

I actually think it would make the romance that much more sexy.  B)

Though, I'll probably play my Inquisitor around 28 or something.

Hopefully if we do meet relatives it'll be cousins/aunts/uncles etc, which won't necessarily impinge on age issues.

As i agree 20 year old inquisitor just doesn't work imo with Cassandra. I'll be aiming for mine to be thirtyish and going with the mid thirties age interpretation for Cass.

Maybe its just me, but I think a slightly younger protagonist romancing Cass would work really well.  ^_^

Mike Laidlaw mention that the Inquisitor's age falls in an indeterminate rage between 20 through 40.  I figure the game has  a certain level of wiggle-room written in.

I think they were intended as the Thedas equivalent of The Inquisition. Then things changed. Now they're like Internal Affairs. Or Super Templars.

I've decided to make mine the full 40. He's kinda like a mix between Awakening Anders and Rhys. I hope you can have greying temples.
