Right, because what you define as attractive should be all encompassing so it won't hurt feelings, it shouldn't be a matter of personal preference.

I agree with this. Gender preferences don't make you sexist, so how does a racial preference make you racist? I'm simply asking, Chronoid, so I can better understand your reasoning.

As you can see, nowhere it's said that not being sexually (or otherwise) attracted to an individual of a different race makes one racist.

You were. And I don't believe people were "attacking" others for being against race gating. Only for implying that to have a preference for certain races in matter of romance is to be racist.

This whole conversation is so irrelevant to this topic.  we don't even know at this point if Cassandra is even race gated.

Got to agree there. It is not racist (at least not in the way the word is usually understood and used) to have a preference for what race you find physically attractive. That's like saying every straight person is homophobic because they prefer the opposite sex. Having a preference when it comes to race, or simply not being attracted to a certain race (be it a fictional one or a real world one) is not racist. Period. It may be racial or racially related, but that's a whole other thing.

 

Gay people can't help that they are only attracted to a certain gender, and those who are not attracted to a certain race cannot change that either, so labeling it racist is just nonsensical. I get that we are all about equality in this enlightened and modern society of ours, and I support that 100%, but let's use common sense people. Racism is something serious and we shouldn't dilute the term by calling it racist when someone has a preference as to who they find attractive.

There are many theories that our genes determine everything about us which includes racial preferences.

If you can't choose to be atracted to men rather than women, what makes you think you can choose what to be attracted on in a woman?
