Yeah, I don't see Cassandra as submissive.  She might be at times if she is in the mood for it but I think she would prefer someone that would essentially 'fight' with her as an equal.

I'm on the Cass being on the "submissive" side.  I feel like she has a hard outside and dose not let people in easily.  But once she has accepted someone and let them in to see the real her she would be rather "girly" if you will.  So submissive is the wrong word but I feel she should like playing the traditional woman in the relationship.  Just my guess as to her personality.

This. She will not be submissive but she will be very girly.

I hope she's not too "girly", personally.

Girly is a loaded term.

I think she cares deeply for someone she's close to, be they friend or more. I think she can be very loving and affectionate.

But I don't see that as girly, because lots of men are like that when they're in love.

Yep.  She'll probably be all business to strangers, but have a warmer side for those who are close.

The Cassandra wooing song.

I love that song!

But I don't think that Cassandra would. She seems more like a Sinatra girl. Check the sig :D

Mmmh... banter incoming!

*Inquisitor and Cassandra in their room. Cassandra is on the bed, the Inquisitor is shaving*

Cassandra: *stretch and sigh*

Inquisitor: *looking a her in the mirror* Everything alright, love?

Cassandra: Mh? Oh yes, thank you.

Inquisitor: Did you sleep alright? You still look tired.

Cassandra: It's just that... I'm worried. The Breach gets larger everyday and we are no closer to discovering how it happened. The continuing mage-templar war shows no signs of stopping anytime soon either. It feels like we're wasting our time.

Inquisitor: *comforting* Hey, now, don't be like that. We will put a stop to this madness. Trust me.

Cassandra: I do trust you. Bu do you have the slightest idea how you will end all this?

Inquisitor: Not yet, but we are ready march on a Red Templar stronghold south of here. Cutting them off from the lyrium mines should give us an edge.

Cassandra: I hope so. We have lost too many good soldiers to them.

Inquisitor: Yes. It would have been better to lose the bad soldiers.

Cassandra: *throws pillow at him, mock stern* Do not joke about such things. Well, we should get ready for the day.

Inquisitor: *finished shaving* Indeed. *putting his face close to Cassandra's* Do I pass muster?

Cassandra: *kisses his cheek* I suppose it will do. Come along then.

Inquisitor: Yes ma'm.

I think Cassandra might end up being more, for lack of a better word, "girly" than some people expect. Mostly because I can see the writers trying to make her as different from Aveline as possible while staying true to the character.

Actually, based on the anecdotes that I've read, I think Cassandra's going to come off more intellectual than people would think based on her appearance.

I think the writers have learned a lot about random character shifts for dumb reasons, don't you?

It wouldn't necessarily be a random character shift, seeing as we don't really know that much about what kind of person Cassandra actually is. Or at least not what kind of person older Cassandra is.

There's no explanation that I see possible of how she would go from her character in DotS or DA II, to being more "girly." We know enough.

When I say more "girly" I don't mean to the level of a character like Leliana, just more so than some people may expect.

Maybe we'll see other aspects of her femininity, sure.  Though I doubt she will be at all girlish.  Cassandra stopped being a girl when her brother was murdered.

Exactly. It's just too well established of a personality, to radically switch it in one direction or the other.

Feminine is a better word.

I wouldn't mind hearing some banter between those two actually.

And then those so-called men get their hearts broken and grow up... or they don't.

Everyone (men and women) grow up eventually after a break up, no matter how much time it will get them.

So a man who's in love is a "so-called man" according to you? I don't even understand what are you trying to imply. :/
