Never did he realise, the moment he was born with the name Alec, and possessing Sean Bean's looks, the powers that be had already sealed his fate. Before his heroic sacrifice could happen, which would at least give his companions a good lasting impression of him, the Elder One ate him. Cass then killed the Elder One. The End.

With all this talk of dwarves and romance it ocurred to me I had never watched a romance scene in DAO with a male dwarf. It obviously couldn't be exactly the same because the scene starts with the Warden behind Morrigan or Leliana, running his fingers down her arm. Thus, I decided to youtube it.

Get this, it's the woman behind the Dwarven Warden running her fingers down his arm.

 

Have you seen the Dwarven Warden's arms? They are beefy as all hell. No woman can resist.

I think the moment you choose a human noble and choose the name Alec, regardless of gender, Bioware automatically chooses your ending for you. Oh, and Cassandra's accent suspiciously turns full Russian, and The Elder One is now voiced by Pierce Brosnan.

So.... With Viv regulated to a non-romance... Josephine is kind of my only option with a straight male Inquis, as...  I don't find Cassandra appealing, now.
 
DON'T GET ME WRONG!  I don't mind her character, I appreciate a strong woman, and so on and forth, but... I find her current redesign almost.. manly?  Everyone is welcome to what attracts them, and I am so glad a lot of people really seem to like her look now, but I fought DA2 Cass to be strong, alluring, beautiful and capable.  Now she seems just too.. 'rugged' and lacking femininity, facially.  Sorry to have the rather minority opinion here, but...
 
Could someone change my mind? I would like to enjoy Cass enough in DA:I to have more options than just Male Human Inqui/Jos, Fem Qunari Inquis/ Sera, and Fem Elf Inquis/Solas.  Heck, this might make DA:I my least played Dragon Age, ever.
 
So, again... anyone able to change my mind?

 

Well, there's no way to make you think that Cassandra looks attractive if you don't think she looks attractive. And if that's a deal-breaker for you, then I'd recommend you change your perspective. Not all men or women of substance look all that nice. I mean, Iron Bull, as awesome as he looks, is pretty darn ugly, in my opinion. So I'll be romancing a character who sees his ugliness in a different light.

I recommend this: Look at some Cassandra fanart after her new design was released. It won't reflect her in-game appearance as much as give you a differnt perspective on how to see her. I've been shocked at just how awesome some fans can draw her while maintaining the heart and soul of her design. Seeing Cassandra through their eyes may give you a different view through your own.

Also, you must bear in mind that we have yet to see Cassandra in an actual semi-full length cutscene. All the shots we have of her are static, with no real emotion of facial expression outside the warrior's poise with an undercurrent of hostility. Like in the last picture. But she'll have her moments of lightness and humor, I'm sure. you just might have to dig a bit for them.

And that's just my point. Romancing Cassandra shouldn't be done because of her looks or in spite of them. There is so much more to her character than that, just like Iron Bull.
