As long as he realized he missed his chance then we're fine. If he thinks he can turn that chaste kiss into something more, me and him are going to have problems. :P

I personally hope he didn't miss his chance and that we actually get a romance-able character (in DA) who have experience in term of being with someone that isn't just casual sex...

As for this dude whatishisname, I hope he isn't in the game. Not interested to hear about Cass's " love past", if she had any. >.>

I wouldn't mind seeing him and even romancing Cassandra from a point in the game where Inquisitor/Cass romance is not possible, for example Isabela/Fenris in Act3

Otherwise, Hells Nah

If he does show up, I imagine their relationship would be most similar to Miranda and Jacob from ME2; amicable ex's, nothing more.

I don't see you here supporting Cass being bi, in fact you wished she 'remains' straight (as if there was any proof of her being straight) Not sure if you were joking. ;)

There is more then enough proof that she could be straight, but I really don't feel like getting into this whole thing again.

I didn't say that I wish for her to remain straight. Only that I would approve if they did.  But I'm fine with it as well if they make Cassandra available for everyone.

Right, a kiss on the cheek is enough proof. :D

Or, the 'romantic' line in which she does the same with ladyHawke (the only exception of Varric calling it a crush, because Varric is your typical dude who thinks any woman that comments about a man's actions are considered 'crush')

Wow. Such strong proof.

Instead of Cass saying, you know, 'i don't dig ladies'. That would be enough proof. ;)

To me Cassandra didn't show her attraction to Gaylan, that was hardly something. There's no evidence.

Cassandra will be BI regardless of any romance system, mark my words. ;)

Depends how you look at it. If you take DotS as a Japanese anime made for the Japanese market (which it was, it released in Japan first). Than DotS has a romance subplot between Galyan and Cassandra (full of cliché and tropes even). The peek on the cheek was even more than what you usually get in a Japanese anime when it comes to romance...

I think this thread ought to be renamed "Discussion of Any and Every Topic Under the Sun Other Than Cassandra Pentaghast." Geez.

On the subject of Cassandra's personal quest (assuming she does indeed have one) I don't want it to have anything at all to do with Galyan, or with Cassandra's brother. I'm tired of female characters (not just in video games, but in media in general) always being defined by their relationships with the men in their lives or in their pasts. It sends the message that women are only important if they're some guy's sister/lover/wife/daughter/etc, rather than presenting women as full-fledged characters with importance and agency of their own.

Not to say I would be averse to the brother or Galyan being mentioned in a conversation or two, but to have a whole quest revolve around them? No thanks.

The whole thread has been about Cass and only Cass though...

As for the rest, i completely agree.

I think people are using the word proof when they mean evidence.

I posted the ramblings of my overactive imagination regarding Cassandra's possible quest a couple pages back, but I don't think I would want Galyan in it. Cass will belong with my Qunquisitior, I aint risking anyone taking that away from me. Nor the death of her brother as I think she kind of got over that emotional burden in DoTS.  I'd like to see something to do with the Nevarran throne and the mortalitasi.I like the image in my mind where the current King is already dead and some corrupted Mortalitasi necromancers are using his body as a puppet to rule the Kingdom. I doubt it would happen as I don't think Cassandra's anywhere close to the throne (and I'm not sure I want another Alistair-like story) I'm also not sure if we're even going there or if it's just getting some dialogue here and there.

The problem is we aren't going to Nevarra so I don't see how this would work.

I have to say, as someone who is rather looking forward to Cassandra as a love interest, I'm honestly somewhat disturbed of the possessiveness some people are displaying here.

I, for one, actually like that she's got some romantic experience to her character. Helps flesh her out, makes her more than just this object who's been chastely waiting for the Inquisitor to come and claim her.

Me too. Nevarra sounds so much more interesting than Orlais. Or even Ferelden only since we've already been there.

:(Perhaps not in inquisition then. I hope we get to go to Nevarra in future games. I really want to see the grand Necropolis, although i'm guessing if we do it would involve corpses and they're low on my list of favourite things to fight.

They may do Nevarra as a large expansion pack. I think they should anyway because we have Cassandra.

I'm personally relevied that we do not get to see too many countries. I was worried that too many locations would lead us to see them a bit rushed. Nevarra, the free march countries, Ferelden, Orlais ? Nope, that was too beautiful to be true, and especially too much work to be something that could work very well even with the extra time they got.

But I'd be glad to learn more about Nevarra in dA:I, which is likely to happen.
