All kinds of symbolism are possible though its likely just an odd nod to the Nevarrian practice of preserving the dead and having necromancers as adviors to the throne.
It's possible she'll be tempted to return to the throne or seize it.

How would she do that exactly? The Royal family is pretty large, and she was never inline for the throne.

One mission involves the Venatori advising the King of Nevarra.
They might have corrupted a large portion of the Royal Family.
And the Inquisition could overthrow them for a puppet (i.e. Cassandra)
That's pure speculation, however.
That mission doesn't seem that much important. I doubt we'll be able to change that much the outcomes of countries other then Orlais/Dales and Ferelden. One mission involves the Venatori advising the King of Nevarra.

I don't think Cass wants to be queen, nor do I think she'd be a good queen.
Yeah, ruling a kingdom is a completely different thing than running a military organization. Cassandra hasn't really shown herself to have the much patience I think so she won't last long as a ruler of a kingdom due to frustration at dealing with politics.
Yeah, Cassandra wouldn't make a very good queen, I just imagine her stabbing all the diplomatic papers.
Ha!
For me, not really. I'm still gonna make my Trevelyan Inquisitor 21-24 years of age even though Cass is 36/37.I admit that Cassandra's age does restrict the ages of my Inquisitors somewhat. I prefer that my PCs and their LIs are in the same age bracket, give or take 5-8 years either way. Once you get to being a decade older, it gets to be too much for me. I'm restricted with Solas too, since he's in his 40's, according to the devs. I may, however, make an exception with Blackwall, since he's closer to his calling than not. Having a young Qunari Inquisitor fall in love with an older man, knowing they won't have much time together could make for a beautifully tragic story. Tears. ALL THE TEARS......
Cassandra, on the other hand? If my Inquisitor is in his 20's, it will feel weird to me. I've get my Cassandramancers at at least their mid-30's.

Same. besides... Didn't a lot of you say Cass likes them young?

Actually we don't know what she likes...Someone should ask David Gaider or Miranda Raison on Twitter.
I mean we know what Sera likes, what Josephine likes...
We don't know Sera's and Josephine's 'types', as far as I know.Actually we don't know what she likes...Someone should ask David Gaider or Miranda Raison on Twitter.

We know what they like. Here is a snippet of a Twitter conversation between Sera's VO, Josie's VO and a player deciding between both of them (this was in Josie's thread).
Time for an important decision. Does my Inquisitor romance Sera or Josephine? I've been leading them both on... @RobynEthel @SimplyAllegra
umm... Sera?Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegraMmm, I'm kind of leaning towards Josephine here.
but Sera likes long walks, home cooking, jazz and has a GSOH. What more could anyone want from an elf?
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra
Fair, but Josie likes fine wines, laying by the sea, romantic poetry, and blushes adorably. So he wins either way?
My Inquisitor is a she! And she is a sucker for a good blush! GAH! I'll just go kill more Red Templars.Oh, I meant he like you as the player! But your Inquisitrix also wins either way
Aidan Scanlan @aidanscanlan
GSOH is important in the hard life of an Inquisitor. And Sera *has* saved my life more than a few times...
Isn't it nice to come home to warm, inviting arms who also totally just schooled some nobles and forged alliances?
It would be nice to know what Cassandra likes.
well we know that she like's men so there's something.

She likes stabbing things; books, maps, tables, people who annoy her....

Miranda Raison sadly doesn't have twitter ![]()
Just breaking in to say: if they ever make the DA series into a movie series, Antje Traue would make the perfect Cassandra. She and Cass are both gorgeous, strong females, and I have no idea how any man could find them unattractive, seriously. ![]()

My beautiful Kryptonian waifu....

That sounds more like a blessing to me....at least for her.

She's not that great at stuff that doesn't involve fighting either. She tends to jump to conclusions and is needlessly rude towards people whose help she needs. She treated Varric like scum in DA2 because she thought Hawke was some kind of evil mastermind who caused the war. Then she makes the same mistake with the Inquisitor. I wonder if Varric will make a comment on that.
Her TV Tropes entry calls her a conspiracy theorist. She certainly has shades of it...

Erm.. she was interrogating Varric after hearing hearsay accounts of what went down at the end of DA2, and had to cut through his bullshit to get to the truth - thats not "jumping to conclusions" thats "challenging the witnesses account". The crime of purjury exists becasue people do sometimes tell lies, often to protect their friends.
She's such a bad ass, her interrogation techniques do not require a 'good cop' to get the truth from a witness
*sigh*
I love a bad ass

Well, no one claimed Cassandra was a diplomat.....or even the best leader. Cullen is leading the army, not Cassandra even though I think Cass is older.
Cass, like Aveline, is a human shaped battering-ram. Point her at the enemy and watch her smash them.
