So how about that Cassandra, huh? She's beautiful and strong, and can't wait to have her in my party and become her friend and eventually romance her with a later Inquisitor.
why do people gotta be so negative anyway

Apparently she's actually a romantic at heart, if one believes the developer blog.
I pretty much imagine that as loving heroic things. Fighting a dragon to save a town or a prince/ss. Sailing out on a boat to fight mauraders and find treasure. Sort of a contrast to how she says to defend the keep against saving the town in the video where she likes to think of herself and probably is a pragmatist, but she still loves stories/being able to save the day without a large sacrifice.

She is currently my favorite of the 9 companions in Inquisition.
As for the negativity, Oddball said it best.

<.< I admit i have said somethings that have not been "open minded" and i sort of donated to the PLO before it was recognized by the UN.
>.> I also might have a few copies of questionable political paraphernalia spread across my home along with a flag rescued from burning by a now fallen state in Europe
._. But that said; I am and do consider myself a Bioware fan ![]()
.
I'm thinking it's going to be a bit of love-hate, at least at first. Afterall, Cassandra holds a blade to your throat and imprisons you when you first meet. So....not the best of starting points.
That being said, it would make an awesome story to tell their kids.....
Kid: Daddy, Uncle Varric says that mommy held a sword to your throat the first time you met. Is that true?
Inquisitor: *sigh* I knew this day was coming. Son, I think you need some context here......
It'd be funnier if it was Cass having to explain it. ![]()
That is so epic ![]()

Well, yes. The whole thing sounds like it starts off in such an awkward manner.
Maybe it'd be an awesome story, but where does it go from there? She seems very serious and angry 90% of the time.

I tend to think of it as her wanting romance and liking romantic things, but being unsure of how to react properly within her role as the Right Hand of the Divine.

I think Cassandra is awesome. I like that she's a badass warrior. That she'll be going through a crises of faith. It makes her tangible and relatable. I have my reservations about certain aspects of the character, but apparently I'm not allowed to voice those with being accused of being something or other which is a shame. Last I checked forums were a place for open discussion as long as respect is maintained.
It'd be funnier if it was Cass having to explain it.
Oh my god.
She might actually blush from embarrassment!
By the way, when I said I was leaving, I meant I requested an account closure. I.E. leaving the community. I have no desire to support a game or a company who have biogted fans. I don't support anything or any community who actively permuate hateful garbage. This goes beyond Cass' redesign; I don't want to be considered a fan of something that these individuals call themselves a fan of. Period. I've supported BioWare because I had assumed it's fans were open minded, caring people. But, I assumed wrong and, again, I don't want to be at all associated with it.
Bioware does not "actively permeate hateful garbage". They have supported the inclusion of so many groups who are usually excluded, such as women, minorities, those of all sexual orientations, etc. So pretty much the opposite of your accusation.

She will eat the children before that happens.

She's a very intense person who wears her emotions on her sleeve. The world's pretty messaed up, and as someone whose job it was to prevent that from happening, maybe she feels responsible which in turn makes her angry. Perhaps we have to help her deal with that.

Not BioWare themselves. The fans. I don't want to be lumped in with these people--this is why I've chosen to depart. I have nothing but respect for BioWare as developers, but I can't support them if they support the rhetoric of hateful fans.

I mean obviously we like Cassandra's character, having said so many times. That doesn't mean we can't say what we do and do not like about her or the way she looks. Not that we said she was oh so unattractive anyway....
It'd be funnier if it was Cass having to explain it.
Can do.
Kid: Mother, Uncle Varric says that you held a sword to Dad's throat the first time you me. Is that true?
Cassandra: First thing, Son, that is the LAST time I want you calling that dwarf 'Uncle'. Second, at the time, I had reason to think that your father had just committed an act of genocide against both the Chantry and all of Thedas.
Kid: But he didn't, right?
Cassandra: No, but at the time, I wasn't sure. Even your father admitted that I was justified. Later. But once I learned that he was innocent, I set him free, and we later formed the Inquisition and closed the Breach.
Kid: And then you two fell in love, right?
Cassandra: Well, we...*stares off into the distance with a tiny smile*...we fell in love along the way, dear one. And in our own time and fashion.
Kid: When did you know you loved Dad?
Cassandra: *thinks for a moment, eyes widen, blushes* I'll tell you when you're older.

Once a mod comes through, just about everyone here will almost certainly get some form of warning/ban for something they posted if it was against the rules. That also includes anyone who's insulted others since if someone's making trouble or being insulted, you either report them or ignore them or both.
From what I can tell, you're obviously not enjoying your time here, so it indeed might be better if you find a forum more of your liking to discuss Dragon Age interests. Dragon Age is a very popular series, so I'm sure you can find a place more suited to your liking to discuss it.

Joking aside, I really do like the art. Qunssandra seems like a power couple ![]()

First, lumping everyone together for the words of a few is very insulting to everyone who aren't those few.
Second, supporting the freedom of expression is not the same as supporting what is expressed. To do anything else is censorship, and that is wrong.

Ooh. I like this one. Ironically, I think elves are the ones I've seen the least parings with Cass, but otherwise, there's been a pretty good variety.
