If that is Cass... She is wearing a military uniform at a ball... And who the heck is dancing with her? It can't be the Inquisitor: no mark on the hand.

That's what I'm thinking. Cass has black hair, there's a distinct red hue going on there.

Also, it seems the "braid" was a headband or a crown.

What are you talking about I see part of it on her hair in the screenshot.  It just doesn't stand out real well and the screenshot isn't that high in quality.

 

What I'm more worried about in that screenshot is if that is the Inquisitor and are we going to be forced to wear such a horrid costume.

That capture does look like an intriguing scenario anyhow. Lots of people... makes me excited to see some sort of crowd interaction in the game. In past Bioware games, I always feel like my party and myself are somehow disconnected to the world and the people in it. I mean, I understand the memory limitations in the past, but maybe we'll start to see progression in this field.

Yep, her braid is still there.  It just doesn't stand out that well.  i wish we had a screenshot of her face from the front so we can get a better idea of how her appearance has changed.

Either way, I do hope we have the option to wear something more simple like Cassandra is wearing.

 

Maybe we can also convince Cassandra to wear a dress for the sole purpose of hiding weapons in there.  I can see her agreeing it for that purpose alone.

Middle of her head pretty much at the top.  You don't see the whole thing, just part of it.  If you need a guide to the location, try her ear, and then go straight up to the top of her head.  You see part of it near that location.

That's not a braid. That is a lock of hair that is sticking higher than the other hair on that part of the character's head. If you click on the image it gets huge and you can see that. And it makes sense since the hairstyle is meant to be an unkempt one since you can see similar things all over the rest of the hair.

Yeah, not Cassandra. She doesn't have the spiky, anime-ish hair that person has. Also, not sure if that is a man or a woman. Could be either one, from that angle it's hard to tell. Looks like Empress Celene might be the other person, though. Just with shorter hair than in the Masked Empire cover.
