Although they could surprise us. Maybe Blackwall was a Templar before he joined the Wardens. The writer interview did say that Cassandra focuses on defending those who need help the most.
Here's the relevant bit:
It depends on where the greatest danger lies and who is threatened. She's very practical in battle, and far more oriented toward protecting the helpless and innocent before any other consideration. Fighting is not about having style or showing off; it's a necessary means to an end.
It better be Blackwall was a Templar. It makes no sense for Cassandra to have the Templar specialization.

Templar would make a hell of a lot more sense on Cassandra than Blackwall.
The Seekers hunt down the most especially dangerous apostates that the Templars can't. Why wouldn't they have some kind of anti-magic ability?
