We had better go tell Alice Eve and Angelina Jolie they are neither attractive nor human. I'm sure they will understand. What do you know, women with strong jawlines aren't human...
Ah.

Must be my german blood that makes me so appeasing.

I wouldn't encourage Cheri if i were you.
I tend to just ignore her when she gets like this.
She has a nasty habit of making assumptions.

It was a sarcastic remark towards those that didn't like Cassandra's jaw. It wasn't aimed at people with large jaws.
Or was your comment sarcastic as well?
Because in that case, my archer-senses aren't working perfect atm.
Sad I missed the Lyrium/"Junkie" discussion. I actually think it would make a great plot thread, helping Cass deal with her Lyrium requirements.
If anything that would be Cullen over Cass

I can always restart it if you want. I have a few posts to reply to but have been debating whether I should or not since the topic has changed.

Well, German beer sure is soothing at the very least... >.>
... AAAANNNND I'm going nowhere with this... must... stay... on topic...

Who wants another lyrium line ?

Oh don't mind us, we were just talking about warriors in skirts (I'm talking about the Romans, here, Dragonofwhy, don't hit me), French arrogance (pleonasm) and other trivial things. Please feel free to express yourself. ![]()
Cassandra uses her mighty jaw to sharpen her sword.
With the templar specialization and the righteous devotion and faith, Cassandra is the closest this franchise has to a classical paladin, right?
If anything that would be Cullen over Cass
I don't know you, nor can I judge you. But I can assure you that in my relatively short lifetime I've seen a lot of (things in general) people participate in drug use and abuse. For every story that ends badly there's another of someone being highly functioning and only partaking in recreational drug use occasionally (weekends). In the end it boils down to the individual. Some people can't tolerate it while others handle it pretty well (whether due to genetics or mentality). Let's not paint everyone in broad strokes, uh?
Tying this back to the templars and tangentially to Cassandra, I presume that lyrium addiction manifests in a similar way. For every Samson there's a Gregoir. Some people can handle it better than others. Some people get their nervous systems fried after a couple uses. Others take lyrium like they would coffee in the morning. If Cassandra is a templar through lyrium use I'm willing to bet that she's the latter type.
You are either very fortunate or I am very unfortunate then since I have rarely seen any ends positively. Thus my perception of it is one that is negative until I have seen enough to alter my perception. Until then, I will not stop 'painting in broad strokes' since that is the only stroke I have seen.
And again, regardless of how well they can handle it an addict is still an addict. And the Templars are addicted to Lyrium so they are addicts.
It doesn't really help to get angry about the way a character is written, especially before the game has even come out.
I also don't understand why a character's personality or traits are a reason to get angry, anyway. It's a video game. We're supposed to be getting to know these people as part of role-play, not getting angry when they don't act the way we want them to.
I don't know. I feel a lot better after that outburst. Much better than when I try bottling stuff in to save grace.
So you aren't supposed to get angry at a character if they do something you don't like? I guess that means people shouldn't be happy with the characters if they do something you like either huh? The point is getting to know the characters and feelings emotions about what you know aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, it is pretty much the opposite and are connected.
Well, if she does have the Templar spec it's not like she had a choice. I don't think refusing to take lyrium is an option when the Chantry demands it.
One of the things I hate about the Chantry.
she wouldn't have any reason to suspect that lyrium isn't needed to learn templar skills either, in fact did one of the developers go out of their way to recon that you do in fact need lyrium to use templar powers.
Yes, it was retconned from when Alistair said it only enhances the abilities.
On the subject of lyrium addiction, I'm not too worried about it. Morrigan, Wynne, Alistair, Merrill, Anders, Cullen, Vivienne, Solas, Dorian, and now Cassandra--We've had plenty of companions who would have suffered from it, and many of them were pretty cool people (notable exception- Anders)
Do mages have to ingest it too(ignoring lyrium potions)? I remember reading that they just have to use it for extra powerful spells, but it never said whether they had to injest or if they could just have a pile next to them.
If you're hunting mages, its more likely taking something that gives you anti-magic powers'll help you out much more in the long run than not taking it..
Who knows how long it takes before the madness kicks in.
Nobody lives forever, if the inquisitor and cassandra lived a happy life together then I'm sure he would be willing to put her out of her misery when she turns insane around her 80th birthday.
Or whenever it is.

Hmm, I've noticed, and I may perfectly be wrong of course, that your posts recently might have had this hum... huuuh... "low morale" vibe to them ?
It's not a critic ! (not sure if the word translates what I mean...) I just, huuuh... well are you okay ?
