Seriously, what's with all these fan-made images of Cassandra getting rescued from the tower of Ishal?

Cullen fans are crazy. Try not to think about it too much or the madness might spread.

Well the other one I've seen is Leliana, and I wouldn't be surprised if a Varric one pops up next, if it doesn't already exist.

Cassandra doesn't strike me as the kind of person who needs to be rescued as long as she's conscious.

Which is exactly why I'm raising my eyebrows at this trend.

Hi all, I'm the one who created the last Cassandra thread, and while I'm sad to see it died, I'm glad someone created a new thread for her.
Though I'm kinda depressed mine died in like 5 pages and this one is at 59, lol.

I imagine if you totaled all the cassandra threads up, it would likely surpass any of the other DAI companions.

No, the fact that the DA2 Cullen thread is still going strong at like 4 and a half thousand pages alone means he beats anything else.

I don't think we have to worry that she will become a damsel in distress. If anything, I rather see her rescue the Inquisitor at some point.
Cassandra: "You got captured because your fire magic didn't work in the rain?! You're useless!"
Inquisitor: "....She called me useless
...."

Wonder Woman kind of needed to get rescued a lot, given that her weakness is, essentially, bondage.

Well yeah, but she wasnt one of those "Help me my prince im so helpless" types you know. ![]()

Yeah, the fact remains besides superman she was the toughest DC hero.

Oh great, now every time I think about Cassandra I'm going to start humming the Wonder Woman theme from the seventies TV show. Someone get the Seeker a Golden Lasso of Truth.

Beyond "strong, capable women with dark hair", I don't see any particular similarities between the two characters, is all.
If nothing else, Cassandra has much better fashion sense.

That's essentially a non-issue these days, where she remains one of DC's strongest and toughest characters, second only to Superman.
I do get a Wonder Woman vibe from Cassandra, in that she's a strong, independent woman capable of kicking the backside of any man she comes in contact with. I dig that.

Hardly something I'd call unique to Wonder Woman, though, is all I'm saying.

If we get nit-picky about characterization, you could compare their senses of justice. Both are arguably quite pragmatic in the name of the greater good, clashing with their more straight-heroic peers on the subject.
...
But yes, I'm glad for Cassandra's lack of spangles, hehe.

Oh, certainly not. But as someone who's currently reading through New 52 Wonder Woman, she's the tough female character that's at my mind's forefront is all. ![]()
