*tries to think of a kinky question to divert the discussion before it turns uglier*
Do you guys think she prefers to be on top or bottom?
That's assuming she likes to do it horizontal. Maybe she likes to be against the wall?

I do agree that she needs the scar. It highlights her personality.
The scar may appear at some point in the story.
Of everything you said this is the thing that keeps bothering me however it wasn't until now that you gave it a clear name. Unfeminine, unfeminine denotes that something thing is not feminine and is more closer to its opposite masculine, so lets clearly define in a non-sexual way what is masculine. synonyms associated with masculinity, "virile, macho, manly, muscular, muscly, strong, strapping, well built, rugged, robust, brawny, heavily built, powerful, red-blooded, vigorous." of all these things, she has what 2 of them "red blooded" and "strong." are these two things enough to make her unfeminine? in Dragon Age origins everyone had the same movements regardless of sex, race or age, in dragon age 2 aveline was notably less inclined to carry on like a woman, and her background and upbringing clearly showed it, but what you're saying is Cassandra should more like Aveline correct? My question still stands though why? Why is it so imperative that this particular character conform to this notion that she was at some point presented as more masculine than feminine?
Unfeminine=masculine. It's a gender thing, denoted by our society. I'm not making up my own meanings, I prefer to stick to the established ones regardless of my opinion. It's easier for communication, because way too often when people use one word they mean completelly different things by that.
Because according to the concept art it was one of her most important traits. No one said that Cassandra looked like a man (oh, wait, many complainers did) but she clearly had very traditionally masculine traits which made her unique. Not justi n DA series but in the whole game industry. There are masculine female characters, but they're a small minority. If they changed her due to complainers who think that women with strong jaws and masculine features look "ugly" then it's just a terrible idea
ohh so she likes it rough tell me a story*sits quietly and eager to hear the naughty banter with wide puppy eyes*That's assuming she likes to do it horizontal. Maybe she likes to be against the wall?
What does dirt have to do with gender?! And wouldn't makeup accentuate her femininity?
I'm so confused

Being dirty, having scars is usually what guys do in video games. Women are pretty and featureless
Dark aggressive make up gave her an intimidating appearence, which was a really nice touch to show that she is a dominant person, a person who leads and takes action.
Make up was a really nice touch. While Cassandra visually was always pretty aggressive, quite masculine, rough, she always had a softer side in her which was kinda highlighted by her using a make up. The industry needs more female characters like that who don't fall into princessvsbutcher stereotypes
But still, a lack of mostly masculine female characters is upsetting
Hmm, at least my female dwarf will have stubble and look awesome with it
Remember back at just before the release of ME2? Game mags were sure Shepard died at the end cause the Normandy blew up. We now know better. As far as fighting Wardens and having scars, maybe she gets them near the end of the game not the beginning. We have not played the game so we don't know.

Wait.. what did I miss? They didn't remove Cassandra's scar, did they? It was cool.

Same I am in love in the female dwarf, as for the topic.
If people like the changes that is fine but there are some issues with making every female character with the same animations and soft touches, not even DA 2 did this. That is why you cannot have the same kind of unique characteristics when comes to female character like you see with Ironbull and Dorian or Solas and Blackwall.

Might simply be the lighting and the angle.
They could've moved the scar also

I wish we had the same variety with female characters
We're definitelly moving in the right direction, though. Even with these changes Cassandra still look better than ~90% of what we usually see in video games

Hmmm, maybe. But it's not really practical if the Inquisitor is a dwarf. The joys of inter-species relationships. ![]()

We don't know yet. Maybe it's the angle and the lighting, or maybe she actually gets it later in the scenario? Trailers tends to be misguiding after all, so... if she can threaten a Trevelyan already wearing the stuff of the Inquisitor in a video, I don't really worry for teh scars myself.

I like her too, but don't know about all that. I think females are getting cooler in general for games. Last of Us, for example. And the new Lara Croft, while very pretty, has a realistic beauty to her. And she isn't over the top, personality wise. She's seems smart and pensive.
I liked a lot of the Nordic chicks in Skyrim too. Heh.

Depends... As Ogrhen once said: I learned I'm just the right height to give a human girl a good time. *wiggle brows*
Based on what we know we being the game in the Fade and after that meet Cassandra (according to the trailers, she has a scar at that time). In this demo though we already have a full party and created at least some kind of organisation with some followers. She has no scar
Either it gets healed or it doesn't exist anymore. Or it's just the angle
*pokes head in* Sky clear yet?
Thank you for that image.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. i meant the industry as a whole. Bioware is just one of the best if not the best example though, usually
Still, lots of trash games gets trash treatment and not only in how-girls-look-department. Gameplay, stereotypes, bad plots, etc

Doing work...
Made from recent stream, sorry for low quality
I imagine there's a book or map on the ground..

To be honest, I don't remember Cassandra ever having "masculine" facial features prior to DAI. This is probably the least feminine and most androgynous that she has ever looked in the series.

Yes he is.

Masculine facial traits include sharp angles, big jaw, thin lips, big nose, small eyes etc. Cassandra never looked like a man, even in the first trailer, but compared to characters like Lelianna, Morrigan, Merril etc she was one of the most "masculine"
Masculine and feminine don't exclude each other, really. A good example is Zaheer from LoK. He has a very masculine face generally... but his eyes, they're quite... pretty, for the lack of a better word
Cassandra still looks the same to me, with her features looking more inline with the concept arts and her DA2 appearance
