It's just my go to word for "ridiculously badass".
Obviously being a wimp is off the table.. but there's always room to roleplay something other than Instant-Ultimate-Badass-From-Birth. There's always an option to grow into a role, instead of embracing things readily.
Unless it's an action adventure game. As far as I can tell it isn't. It's an RPG. You have room to craft characters (not total freedom, but some psychological inclinations).
Well, sure, but that's still not going to mean you can get steam-rolled by another character. I don't think Bioware will implement actually submissive options, like people seem to want. As for the more SM-y sexual elements, that's definitely not going to be in.

I didn't even know people wanted this SM stuff. I didn't. I just got accused of it simply for wanting a reluctant hero. haha

Anyhoo...I just managed to watch the new gameplay&trailer. Cassandras voice and mannerism (aside form the Isabela swagger) are awesome. Also, of the characters we saw she was the only one i immediately liked. The rest (well, Josie was ok) set off my creep radar. I hope they wont be that bad 
surprisingly, josie came off as kind of zevranish to me.... cullen well, hes cullen.... and cass stole leliana's spot light.... plus it looks like our advisers dont get a long real well.... but thats what you get when you throw people into the fire without easing them into the job

Maybe it's not spoilers, but any scenes with more than a few lines of dialogue I want to avoid. I'd rather experience it first hand.

They are from the same country (same accent) and are both fairly charismatic but I don't see much similarities beyond that. It seems neither our diplomat nor our spymaster gets along with our direct force guy, which is to be expected really. I expect a long series of Josie and Leliana arguing with Cullen. Cass being a direct woman sorta evens that out I think.
I'm certainly going to rp my HI as a Ned Stark type being made Hand of the King; thrust into a position he didn't want through no choice of his own, but enslaved by his rigid sense of duty.
Was originally going to go the Han Solo route to romanceing Cass but I think an Inquisitor with a strong sense of duty and honour suits her better.
My 'Han Solo' playthrough will be with a Dwarf Archer I think. Cheeky AND short? She'll never resist.

Not at all. But then, that might be obvious if you've seen any of my posts here. I plan my first Inquisitor to be wary of the title himself.. maybe will grow into it later. I don't know. Depends how the game plays out.

Interesting idea. I don't know how strongly she would feel about that. On the one hand, if she truly believes that she won't do anything to harm us. On the other hand, she might pester us constantly to accept this or just refuse to talk to us about it anymore.
That reinforces the idea that she'S the one companion you can't drive away. Even if the Herald of Andraste is an utter prat, she'll be there to help.

Well based on the video, Cassandra is already calling you the Herald if you deny it.
So over the course of the game that will lead to a lot of disapprovals, I would imagine.

What is it about human that makes them ALL embrace it? Just curious.
I didn't want to mention religious stuff too much, but my inspiration is Jonah from the bible. The guy who didn't want to be a prophet, and got swallowed up by a whale. lol.. (which, I take to be metaphor.. the despair he went through for not accepting his calling).

I wouldn't have any problems with that. I won't compromise my elf's beliefs because she refuses to accept that my elf won't accept the title. I will respect her views, but I won't conform to them.
Then i think cass would be calling the kettle black, abdicating her spot in leading the inquisition and giving it to the inquisitor in the first place
Going by the twitch demo, the Herald has already been handed the keys to the Inquisition. Well more like dumped the keys, we are talking about Cassandra here.
As for why, the demo is suggesting "figurehead" a lot, but I get the impression that Cassandra is quite fine with letting you do things your way (while she manage things has the XO and watch over you has a companion). I never had the impression she believed in luck anyhow, so she probably believe that you get the Mark because the Maker choice you to fix the problems...
Which probably result in a super awesome ending if you totally fail at leading the Inquisition in regard Cassandra's character development.
